This version of Oliver’s dad (I’m pretty sure he’s different in the new BC) was a spoof on Cosby. With the serious accusations, mocking his Republicanism falls a little flat.
Got to love the 1980’s, people could still laugh at themselves. Today this strip appearing in a newspaper would cause mass hysteria.
There are black Republicans? I mean besides Colin ‘There are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq’ Powell.
Too bad people have to place a stupid label on someone else.
