…and they lived happily ever after.

Love is not the mutual contemplation of two self egotistical beings, but rather the looking together in the same direction. Someone famous wrote that. If this was a fresh strip “in process”, we might hope that the pair will find something worthy to envolve them in growing as humans. In a middle class community I met a homeowner who had a big inground heated swimming pool and a high fence for privacy. He was so cheap that he planted a special type of good looking and low growing crab-grass in his front yard. He had to order it, so he had done his homework, he didn’t just find it at a nearby store. Oh, and he had a lot of solar panels on his roof, and so he got tax write-offs and free heating of the pool, too. He told me that that was the only way he could afford to heat the pool. Maybe Hueys neighbors could.. But that would mean Aaron McGruder starting the strip up again. These classics are nice, because they are classic enough to be, well, classic. Always.

CK: That homeowner sounds like a pretty good guy! Maybe not cynical enough for Boondocks, however.
