Jazmine: I have nothing to say to you, Huey, until you apologize. Huey: Well, I will say some of my recent observations may have been better left unsaid. Jazmine: Oh! I accept! Now we can be friends again. I knew you were only teasing about that afro stuff. Huey: I didn't say that. You most certainly do have an afro. Jazmine: Stop saying that! I have good hair! I don't have an afro - you're just mean!! Huey: Please, get ahold of yourself... Jazmine: No!!! I hate you. Leave me alone!!! Huey: (sigh) 'Tis a long, hard road to afrocentric wellness.

As Will Smith showed in his movie, don’t mess with a black woman’s hair.

I hope she learns that having an afro doesn’t mean she has bad hair. My daughter has thick, but manageable hair but thinks it’s not straight and smooth enough thanks to her friends. She’s 8 by the way.

Just watched “Good Hair” by Chris Rock. Very enlightening! I use a texturized in my hair, but weaves are very popular. I had no idea they were so expensive – $1,000 & up just for the hair!
