Good morning to all. Love all the pictures that we’ve seen so far. There’s orange juice in the fridge for Johnny, and coffee and bagels for the rest of you. DF, I set your cinnamon raisin one in the usual spot.

I don’t know why, but that bear made me think of DrT.

I’m not sure about posting a picture of myself, but I’ll think about it. If a definite day and time is set up, I might go along with it.

I’ve tried using Picasa 3, but didn’t like it for some reason. After that I downloaded Gimp (also free) and found that one to be a little better.

Does anyone know why I can’t stay logged onto this site on two different computers? In the morning I use this computer, but in the evening I use a different one (so I can play games and see what’s happening). Even though I click remember me, I still have to sign in again.

Guess I better head off to work - I’ll see everyone later.

Well I tried to edit my avatar from the Blackberry and put in a pictutre of me with a 5 pound bass but it wouldn’t let me so y’all will have to wait until tomorrow!

I got to thinking if we all change back within 24 hrs., the guys won’t put their pictures up! You know they will try to weasel out of it!! :-)

johnnydoc, If I’m brave enough to paste my mug up here, you should be too! Nice pic though! Were you/are you a skateboarder? My youngset was but hasn’t skated in a couple of months.

No sorry, I never was a skateboarder. I do not trust things with wheels– especially when I control them. What I meant about being camera shy was that there were not too many pictures of me to post, especially recent ones. That one is fairly accurate, I think. I am much taller now, though, and have since had to start shaving. And Doc, you look really young in your pic.

I keep trying to comment and keep getting boted out!

doc (for the upteenth time!), is it Titten as in Kitten, or as in Titan. Russian Blues are gorgeous! Probably the prettiest of cats, except for my combination kitty Hannah!

An Army Ranger was on vacation in the depths of Louisiana and he wanted a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking. After becoming very frustrated with the “no haggle” attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the Ranger shouted, “maybe I’ll just go out and get my own alligator so I can get a pair of shoes made at a reasonable price!”

The vendor said, “By all means, be my guest. Maybe you will run into a couple of Marines who were in here earlier saying the same thing.”

So the Ranger headed into the bayou that same day and a few hours later came upon two men standing waist deep in the water. He thought, “those must be the two Marines the guy in town was talking about.” Just then, the Ranger saw a tremendously long aligator swimming rapidly underwater towards one of the Marines.

Just as the aligator was about to attack, the Marine grabbed its neck with both hands and strangled it to death with very little effort. Then both Marines dragged it on shore and flipped it on its back. Laying nearby were several more of the creatures.

One of the Marines then exclaimed, “Damn, this one doesn’t have any shoes either!”

So i have my little love bug Ana today. we are about to head out side in about 20 min or so. she ate spegattie for luch and me leftover stir fir. yummy.

Akenta I have the same problem as you, I use two computers, and sometimes I can go for days without logging in, and then some days I hae to log in evrytime I visit the site. Especially on my work ‘puter. There’s no restrictions on our work ‘puters either!

marg - I’m actually standing on a haystack. As kids, we used to make forts/hideouts out of the bales (that’s the dark spot behind me and on the right of the picture)

As for lime buns, they’re like cinnamon buns, except the filling is butter, sugar, and lime zest.

Hello everyone. Joy invited me over after I did a poor job of trying to compliment you all on your good looks. I don’t have time, although I have tried to post a picture of myself. I am in the middle of making carmelized onion rolls, caraway potato salad and bbg chicken. Please help yourselves. Believe it or not I am a photographer and there exists only one digital photo of me, which I tried to post, but it was to big a Jpg. I have an Mac and I’ve been trying to figure out how to shrink the picture, but I am running short on time. Hello all you beautiful people, help yourself to the food. There’s beer and wine. We have some restrictions on our work computers, but I get too many viruses trying to get me from this site that I won’t risk it at work. I actually found that the Firefox that people recommended here helps a lot - and I think I know which ad is the culprit, but reporting that seems to do nothing :-(

*DF* when I was younger, actually up until about 5 years ago. Me and my brothers and sisters would make forts out of a swing set tower we had and a low hanging tree branch from a Magnolia tree not too far away. We had some good times doing that, but didn’t have the hay bails… that would have been cool.

What ad brings in viruses? I have NOrton, maybe that’s why I haven’t been affected. My computer here runs slow anyway. Between my kids and me we have so much stuff on here! Whenever we have a computer problem, my husband freaks and says get rid of this and this and this, and I jsut tell him to mind his business, because I know more about computers than he does, and that ain’t sayin’ much!! :-D I don’t think I could download Firefox becasue they say you shuldn’t have 2 security programs running together or neither will work to its full efficiency.

Joy I don’t mind if you keep my pic. I know how to save things to my pictures, does it work the same from a website? Can you enlarge the pic bigger than what’s on here and still have a clear print?

Yes, 2 cats - Flora and Otto. I got them almost 2 years ago (my other had to be put to sleep in March ‘07, but she had a good 17 year life).

The ad I think is the problem is the 6-flags one. Whenever I see that, at the bottom of my screen I see it trying to go to ytaahg.vo.llnwd.net - when I google that, viruses get mentioned. I may be wrong, but before firefox, my virus program was kept busy by this site, but occasionally, I would be able to stop the hijack before it was needed.

Akenta yep our Norton must be protecting us! Never noticed that. I can tell as soon as I come to this site if I have to sign in or not, because there’s always pop up ads on here. 6 flags is one of them. Don’t know why it doesn’t keep me logged in all the time!

My cats are Molly, Mittens, and Bella. Mittens is about 2, Molly 1, Bella about 9 months. My other avatar was my Hannah. She died in my arms at the age of 16 years and 4 days. She would have been 17 on this just passed Monday. She was a sweetie!

Akenta: I like your pic and your cats! Long dark brown hair and glasses, I think. Pic is a bit small for me to tell for sure. :-)

In my pic I was wearing glasses prior to the pic, took them off. I also wear contacts.

DigitalFrog: So it’s hay dust. Hay forts, what fun! I will take you up on your offer of lime buns for tomorrow morning. Do you have a recipe that you could post for us some time?

Johnnydoc: You were a fort builder, too. Forts were always a lot of fun. We had a big expanse of vacant land near our house that we called the prairie, and we would call the natural depression that we found in the ground ‘forts’.

Dry: What color are your frames? Mine are tortoise shell.

marg my frames are a light teal blue, wire. I’m due for a check up, when I get around to making the appointment :-), so I will be getting a new frame. My ones prior to this were a wire tortoise shell. My lenses are tinted a light green, they match my eyes and are easier to find when I drop one, which I usually do! Lost one once in the grass! Needless to say, I had to get a new lense!

Read this strip again! Still makes me laugh! I’m gonna print it out and hang it on my fridge!

I think I’ll keep my picture up into the morning and then morph back into Akenta. I have been enjoying seeing what every one looks like here, so I don’t mind sharing with this group.

doc i understand. i had a friend over a while back. we had lost tuch and such and were up till about 2 am we were so confused in our drozy conversations if it was morning, night etc. lol that is confusing. i think if it is before 5am it is still night. thats just me. 5 is still early.

“Oh, that’s ok,” he said.

“I know it’s silly,” she continued, “but if you called out ’Goodbye, Mother’ as I leave, it would make me ever so happy.” The old lady proceeded through the checkout and as she left the supermarket, the man called out “Goodbye Mother.” The old lady waved back, and kindly smiled.

Pleased he had brought a bit of sunshine to someone’s day the man went to pay for his groceries.

“That’ll be 105 dollars 35,” said the clerk.

“How come?” inquired the man. “I’ve only bought a few things!”

“Yeah, but your mother said you’d pay for her…”

The Case of the Second Will

“Young Mark Rall insists he found this in an Old Testament in his uncles’s library.” said Evans, the attorney. He handed Dr. Haledjian a document as both men sat in the criminologist’s study.

Halegjian released a low whistle. The document was a last will and testament. It bequeathed the bulk of Arthur Marx Colby’s millions to his 22-year-old nephew, Mark Rall.

“This will is either genuine or a dashedly clever forgery,” opined Haledjian. “When did Colby die?” “Last April-April 21, to be exact,” answered Evans. “If this will is genuine, it will mean Colby’s two elderly sisters, my clients, will be out a fortune.”

“I assume this new will is dated after the one leaving the fortune to your clients?”

“Yes, twelve days later,” said Evans.

“When did young Rall find it?”

“Last week,” said Evans. “He says he had opened a copy of the Old Testament and there between pages 157 and 158 was this will.”

“He’s pretty sure of himself,” muttered Haledjian.

“He takes pride in a punctilious mind, the young scoundrel,” returned Evans. “He’s willing to settle out of court- for half his uncles estate! But I must give him his answer within two hours. Can you spot anything wrong with the will he claims to have found?”

“I’m no expert in the field,” concluded the slueth. “Nevertheless, I should tell young Rall to put this will back where he found it!”

How come?:(What is your answer to this case? Why doesnt the sleuth believe Rall’s story?

Hey all, This is the place where the action is! Just ran over to Pibgorn! This place is stompin’! Rad get them chairs out, set the heavy duty paper plates and plastic ware out (too late to use good dishes) and lets start through the buffet line! If that scurvy pirate was here we’d have some good rum to drink, but unless someone has some other libation, we’ll have to settle for raspberry tea, chilled of course!

Chairs are in the back of the pick’m up truck and there’s also a coupla foldin’ card tables.

JFri, OOPS, okay just drive safe. I liked your rhyme, “Egad it’s Rad.”
