cleo how is little cleo doing today?

Yesterday, cleo said: We had quite the spectacular show here today. A very technical looking helicopter and several patrol boats and jet skis were involved in some arrest attempt on the other side of our lake. We watched the activities for over an hour with no apparent result.

Note to tribe: if you ever do work on cleo’s house do a good job, or he will get serious.

I was taking pictures off the office camera and putting them on my puter at work. I had borrowed it for that event the other week, you know. Never put pix from a camera to the computer before, now I know how, now I need my own digital. camera. A couple of odd thnigs happened, but everything is there.

He had a yahoo account listed, so of course I was going to put his name in there. I moment ago, I just got a pop up that he signed off. I missed him. Don’t think I would have the courage to say hi, but maybe one day.

Hi, Carmy. Good day today, good time for a stacation! Not too humid yet, but nice mid-70s, low-80s temps. Had to buy a new coffee pot. I think mine heard about Cleo’s & Doc’s coffees and got scared. Quit working yesterday and that’s as long as we could go in my house w/o fresh caffiene.

Carmy we really enjoyed Wall-E - and it wasn’t a tear jerker - I only like comedies. My sons call me shallow.

WALL-E wasn’t much of a tear jerker until the end when…OOPS, almost said too much. The first movie my parents took me to was Bambi. Mom didn’t realize how much I would empathize w/Bambi & the other friends of the forest. After that, it was the Herbie movies or Flubber until I got my license.

Not shallow! You have character. My Dad was a cartoonist as a combination career & hobby. His art paid the bills as a commercial artist, but the comics brought happiness to our family & friends. Wouldn’t have traded that for anything!

My husband and son are both artists but had to take other jobs (teaching and dental tech) to put food on the table. Still, their work is good - just hard in this economy.

I think Disney has always made real life more real. Nature films, animation, comedies…they all had the elements of drama, action, humor, terror (on some level), and the inevitable battle between good & evil. Not many filmmakers have captured & kept my interest as Disney has.

Dawn - I hope the boys (son & hubby) don’t give up on the art. It’s a rare talent that they should treasure & share! I didn’t inherit any of Dad’s talent.

dcguys, I was in the Disney Movie Club and I have several DVDS of their movies. I understand what you mean about the different elements in their films. Last night we watched Mulan, I really like that movie.

My computer is being really slow. I’m going to do some maintenance and shut it down. It’s about time for me to go to bed anyway.
