Hi Bigg. Was that the tv show Dexter? I saw the first episode and it was enough gore to finish me. I’ve heard, though, that the rest were much better and far less gore.

okay so I’m off the phone with him and i just cant sleep so i wanted to tell you about it all. we went see the Harry Potter movie and it was good. Before the move we went out to eat at MC dondles (sp) and after the movie we went to marble slab witch is an ice cream shop and he brought me ice cream as well. then we went hang out at my Friends father in laws shop. and just sat around and talked and did nothing. but he was so sweet. we were both nervous to begin with, but when i was around him i just loosened up and i was relaxed and calm around him. i just don’t know, you know. It was strange and cool all at one time. we talked about what we liked to do and we were just getting to know each other and still are. and i told him no sex before marriage and he respects that. he does not drink or smoke or do drugs. he opened the doors for me and held them you know. he helped me in and out of the truck and opened them doores and closed them also. he called me beautiful and he was just sweet and kind and gentle all around. he was very careful not to make me uncomfortable and he is more worried about making me uncomfortable then being nervous. he is not the kind to make the first move…. so I’m stuck doing that… lol but he is just so sweet. we are planing on going out again as a group this weekend. hope to go bolling or something so we can talk not like the movies where you have to be quite and all of that. lol well that is it

well im going to go to bed for real this time and hope that the teeth stop. i went today and he told me i had a dry socket and he packed it…. well the iodine stuff came out and im not sure if it worked bc it hurts again. :( make it stop and it taste so bleeep bad.

cleo, I guess I can spill the beans now. I didn’t want to steal the thunder from docT’s birthday! On July 13th (that date sound familiar, docT?) my first grandchild was born so I am off visiting and helping get things squared away. They just moved into a new place a couple weeks ago so they need all the help they can get! Priorities! What can I say?

Spock just remember, you’re only Half Vulcan. I pass through Vulcan all the time on my way to visit family.

Vulcan is actually a town in Alberta about 30 min south of Calgary. They were trying to get Hollywood to put on a premier of the Star Trek movie in Vulcan but got turned down. When L Nimoy found out, he lobbied for them and got them a special invitation screening in Calgary (main problem was that Vulcan didn’t have a movie theater). Cool move Mr. Spock.

Dry sometimes I miss the old shows too, although I was never a great tv fan even when I was a kid. Now there just seems to be so little on worth watching. Tabby your first date sounded like fun. I have finaly found my jump drive it was at my moms house and it kept me awake not knowing where it was for sever hours a night. but now i can finaly post what i wanted to post a while back for our lovely CLEO so the next post i have will be mainly for CLEO but also for all others who have lost a dog at one point or a nother.

To Cleo with lots of Love.

A Dog’s Purpose (from a 6-year-old). Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.

I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.

As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker’s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker’s death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are Shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up; ‘I know why.’

Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I’d never heard a more comforting explanation. He said, ‘People are born so that they can learn how to live a good Life – like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?’ The Six-year-old continued, ‘Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.’

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

Take naps.

Stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you’re not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

Wow, there are some big doings this month. I suppose congrats are in order for Tabby, and JFri. I suppose I have a goings on too. I get the rest of the week off because business is slow at work. Just got off work a bit ago. Now the hard part begins for me. Got to get a bunch of my friends to come over to help me muzzle Fritz and chain him. Fritz being a St. Bernard/German Sheppard mix does not take to kindly to baths.

Perhaps Dusty perceived the clown as a something threat.

so i have the radio on and they are talking about yawning and how its congatious… (sp on those two words is questionable) well the girl yawns and got me going and all kinds of people are calling in telling her she made them bc some how they got on that sub. its strange but funny

Wolfbyte, I’ll trade you my cat for your dog! It takes 2 of us to hold her down, she’s not declawed, as sweet as anything ortherwise. Try to bath her, trim her nails or trim her hair (she’s a long hair) you take your life in your hands!! I literally have to sit on her to do her front paws and my son has to hold her back end down!

johnny, I always had dogs, never had a cat and then one day one walked into my life., literally! I’ve ahd a few since then. Cats are great, they all have different personalities just like dogs and people. If you’re lucky you get the affectionate ones. My cat is a watch cat, she sits on her hind legs when someone is coming up the walk or outside, trouble is, if you don’t see her, you don’t know it since she doesn’t bark! LOL

My dog is crazy defensive, he barks when we knock on the walls, or when the doorbell rings on TV.

tabby - It was a busy day. I really would like a day where I could just sit back and read a book and not have a task to do. I just don’t get those days lately. But, I live in a beautiful location and not many people have what we have. There is a county park across the lake that people flock to, overfilling the parking lot and parking as much as a mile away to go to the beach. I have the same thing in my back yard. So my complaining is minor.

Dang! I’m all wet. It takes four of my friends to hold Fritz down just so I could hose him down to remove the soap.

ladywolf - I sympathize! We used to have a Great Pyranees (sp?), chow & shepherd mix that was as tall as a Great Dane. He would let us brush him, but the only way we could get him completely wet, was to walk down by the river, and he would go swimming. I don’t know that we ever shampooed him, but he was a strictly outdoor dog, so we could live with the smell.

Yappy Nuts - I’m going to be doing a lot of “hit & run” appearances this week. My hubby’s laid off for just the week, so with him around, I can’t goof off as much. Especially because I want him to work on those long awaited projects around here. I’ll try to pop in & read, but probably won’t post too often, because by the time I get it read, it was hours after it was written. (That, and that filter of mine stops me sometimes, so I don’t always get a chance to read it all.) Keeping an eye on the weather again. Tornado watch until 2am. So far they’ve gone around, but the storms aren’t finished yet for tonight.

That what I get for wanting to help dad out! Good thing I had a waterproof wrapping around my cast.

Any ways Big Top seems kind of interesting. I have heard others talking about it even though most of it was negative. My thoughts are, IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE COMIC THEN MOVE ON AND DON’T LET THE BIG TOP TENT FLAP HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT. Lonewolf These things always take longer. I get tired of clinics and dispensaries. It seems there’s always a long wait.

I just remembered. I broke a lower incisor last week. I have to see the dentist to see what can be done. Not good at this stage in my life- I’m broke.

Looks like everyone stepped out for a while. I’ll do my dishes now. It’s almost time for bed.

Shika - I am here, just lots of yard work to do. I swore when I sold my home, that I was going to buy a loft or condo to end my yard work. Then I met my wife, who had this beautiful home on the lake. Now I am doing way more yard work on a much smaller plat of land. Sheesh.

Never fails cleo. But I’ll bet the rewards are worth it. Sounds like a real gem of a place AND a gem of a wife you’ve got there.

If I lived near you, I’d help. I like being out doors, but I’m not one to sit for long.

Unless I can lie on a hammock. anything that moves is fine, especially hammocks!

does he have a temper problem does he like to be out side does he have brothers and sisters what does he do for fun and so on. im asking questions and getting to know him b4 leting my feet go over my head. lol and i promise you all im not crazy and i wont do anything stupid. i have my goals and they are not changing.

Just got through with supper and doing the dishes Dad cooked a porterhouse steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with corn on the side. OK YES! I LIKE TO EAT MEAT. Does that frighten you.
