hi Marg, Terry, & JFried i was elsewhere touring toon town, so i wasn’t here yet. Terry you’re right about the kids’ faces being *IT*. in my family, the adults don’t buy gifts for each other, and once the kids hit adulthood, they don’t get presents from the extended family any more either, though individual families do what they like. the main thing is to be with family and to make the little kids happy.

i’ll have the buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and a whole heap of bacon and sausage links to go with them. a bit of apple juice to start and DocT’s coffee to end on. hope everyone is well.

First off, to Hymenoxis (and my apologies if I misspelled) The cleaning remarks were tongue in cheek. I had been cleaning my apartment all morning, and it continued in the Big Top….as if I didn’t have enough problems with my place.

Now in general, the party went well, we had a nice feast. We watched a couple of movies (where one of my friends had a nap attack and entertained us with her rumbling accompaniment to the soundtrack. I’m doing my second load of dishes in the dishwasher and peeling potatoes for potato soup.

Stay warm and dry, Tribe. There was still some good karma floating around here after yesterday so I’ve deposited some in the bank. Take if needed.

Good morning Tribe and any visitors. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday in whatever manner you decided to celebrate it.

I was just outside and while it is still a bit chilly and there is quite a bit of snow [can I return that now that Christmas is over?] there is a heavy rime on the trees. With the sun shining through them, they just glow. It is so beautiful. I really wish I could paint because that is a picture I would love to have. I don’t care for traditional winter pictures of a snowy landscape ith maybe an old empty house or barn. They always look too cold.

I would love to do my shopping for next Christmas now but a year is too long. I would never remember where I put anything.

Good Evening, All! The Blizzard in West Dakota has us all buttoned up. But doing well. We&nbsphave the sense to come in out of the snow.

“Good King Wenceslas looked out On the feast of Stephen When the snow lay round about Deep and crisp and even…” I know how he felt, except the snow is very deep and crisp, but not at all even. The roads are about a foot deep, except where the drifts are far deeper, up to 2-3 feet. And some areas, of course, have no snow left.

I’ve been doing computer work off and on for the last 3 hours! Snow is still falling fast. As soon as James shovels, it’s back again!

We gave up, I think. Louie spent all morning clearing a narrow path from garage to street–but the streets were still full, so there was no point, really. And it was soon filling in again.

Better to wait for the winds to die back.

It’s not snowing quite that hard here. Besides James is doing as much playing out there as he is shoveling. LOL

But the weather is supposed to get better tonight and tomorrow.

I just heard that too! What gives? Maybe he got an NFL offer?
