DocT, I’m glad to see you found the Pearls Before Swine today–I definitely thought of you when I read it.

Also: you mention an inventory of your faults in past relationships. Many people who’ve been through the annulment process say that’s one of the most helpful thing about it: that it provides closure and a help in knowing and dealing with faults and immaturities so that future relationships can be better.

Grog No coffee substitute, but am drinking 2 cups black tea & 1 cup green tea which is aproximately equal to on cup coffee, for caffeine content. I was drinking 6-8 cups coffee daily.

I’d be happier if they found a drug combination that helped. We’re hoping this helps with my urge to smack people just for saying Hello to me. (irritiability)

Doc - I understand about not getting another dog until you move. Same thing here. We had a Great Pyrenees/Chow/Shepherd mix who died about 3 years ago. Great dog, but huge! Decided we’d wait until after we move to think about getting more pets. (The cat died the year after the dog.)

Terry - That’s for sure. I was getting extremely tired going to her house almost every day, on top of my normal work load. There are lots of boxes of stuff around here now, that I need to unpack and figure out where to put the stuff, but not near as stressful as working under a deadline. I don’t like working with a deadline over my head, because I like to be thorough, and feel like I’m not missing anything.

Cleo, they told us the heart tests looked good for a 78 yr old woman. They are keeping her one or two more days and if all remains as it is today, they will let her go home. She’s not real happy about staying longer, but is complying with the doctor’s orders. Along with the anti-biotics she is on, they are planning on putting her on a heart treatment medicine.

Glad you missed me Cleo! I’ll take a Bookers, kind sir! I’m sure Jfri could use one also!

I suppose that’s good news, Lonewolf, but it sounds to me more like they can’t pin down what’s wrong with her.

Lonewolf it sounds like she is doing better. Is it time for the happy dance or should we wait until she goes home.

Grog–As far as the symptoms go, it seems that way, but at least they are ruling out any major heart problems. So we are relieved to that extent.

Terry - I hope that there isn’t major heart problems, not just that they can’t find any. But I wonder why they’d be giving her heart med, if there isn’t a problem? Most doctors really hate to admit they don’t know. (There is a reason it is called practicing medicine.) They never could figure out why Mom had strokes, but could see the damage done on the MRIs.

Rmom & LuvH8–They did not specify a name and I don’t know enough about heart medicines to understand even if they told us. They are concerned that she gets chest pains , extreme heartburn off and on and her whole arm goes numb at times.

Rmom, I’m hoping that if this anti-biotic works on these symptoms and it turns out this is nothing more than pneumonia, maybe they won’t need to put her on a heart medicine. Maybe too much wishful thinking, but right now that is working for me.

Terry - I understand! No sense worrying about what you can’t do anything about.

Rmom–Pretty much. But I am taking it better than my little sister is.

Lonewolf ~ they did rule out other causes for chest pain like gas, or acid reflux right? Cause those can be scary painful too.

Terry - My sister didn’t take things like that very well either! I’ve told my hubby & kids to never let my sister be my hospital advocate. She’s too b_ _ chy in that situation. My philosophy is to treat others the way you want to be treated, instead of browbeating them like she does.

Lonewolf people can live for a long time after an initial heart problem, even if she does need medicine it might not be that bad. Better to get treatment now, than have to risk surgery later. It could turn out to be a mixed blessing.

I hear you, Rmom. Wolfangil has all my wishes down pat and I trust her with that control to do what I want.

But you probably don’t want to read that right now. So, I will continue to follow Bunnyface’s advice and send your families prayers as well as luv.

Sorry it has been so long, I know for some i was not missed by others i know i was.

so update time:

went to hospital 3-23-10 for migraine so bad i thought i was dieing, never had one that bad before. They did a cat scan, no results yet. They also took a bload test, no results yet. So that is that.

and as soon as the summer comes around, i am moving out. i will be switching schools and moving out. I am so excited and ready to go. packing has come to a screaching stop because of other RL problems (see above) and school has been a killer. my room looks like cr ap and i have no floor and sore feet from steping on cr ap.but i am moving out and ready to go. i will be going spend a couple of days next week out where im moving. so no worries if you dont see me.
