My hip feels a little better this morning and I thought I might be able to do the comic tour, but I seem to do best in an upright position, meaning on my feet, so sitting at the computer is not any fun. I am suffering from comic withdrawal. I have been doing lots of walking and just trying to keep my body moving and it slowly seems to be helping. Take care all and hope to be back posting and reading the funnies soon.

Morning again All Cleo kitchen counter works great as a standup laptop holder. Echoing all the above….. LuvH8 If the pot’s like a Navy Chief’s coffee mug you can do a quick rinse to get the chunks out. Any more than that and it loses all its flavor. Nite - Doc Just got my performance review. I passed.

Just watching what;s happen here now and then will reading and watching a movie on TV.

Dry - No severe weather around here for at least the last 24 hours, unless you count some flooding.

Luv - Gocomics must have been doing some technical work on the site. Whenever it is down, they put up a page that says “Our penguins are acting a little crazy right now” and there’s a picture of Opus from Bloom County with a flowery hat on his head.

Sojourner - At least all the clean up is virtual - just like the mess.

serena - Sorry I missed you! Just trying to get some things accomplished around the house while I had the chance.

The penguins show up for awhile. It’s the first i’ve seen then and thought it was the entire web sight but it was just BT I think.

LuvH8 The movie is Jane Doe: How to Fire Your Boss and is just over. Murder mysteries, westerns, etc. are good but too much special effects ruins it for me as it then seems unreal.

Luv - I figure if the flooding isn’t chasing people out of their homes or businesses, it isn’t any big deal. Lots of farm land around here that gets flooded, but they rather expect that to happen. One train bridge was damaged due to the floods, but they got the train off okay, and they’re repairing the bridge. Up by KC, I guess they’ve had more problems lately, but unless it is around the Wichita area, I don’t really pay attention. To me, severe weather is going to involve hail, tornadoes, or 60+mph winds, unless it is winter, then that’s a different set of criteria. We don’t get too excited about thunderstorms around here, unless they get up to those levels. (And the hail has to be quarter size or larger, if I remember correctly, for the severe category.)

Yep, I had penguins or just not responding anywhere I tried on the gocomics site during that time.

Doctor Toon - I see that you like older movies. With some of the newer songs I thought my hearing was going bad due to too much off key. Then after seeing some of the older movies (with Doris Day etc.) that had singing I realised that my hearing was fine and that some of the new singers just are not very good!

I’d love to stay and chat, but I’m having trouble staying awake. Guess that’s what I get for staying up late last night to finish reading a book. Good night!

Doc - your right about that! My music colloction has been said by some to have the most variety they have seen. Except for some of the most recent recordings I like almost everything.

Pulling a Shika move here… Dry - I wonder if you’re referring to the high winds? We’ve been having “high wind warnings” probably most of the day - those don’t make the weather alarm go off, so I’m not sure. Too windy to burn trash. Son used it as an excuse to not mow, because the grass clippings will blow back on you, depending on the wind direction. I wouldn’t want to be driving a semi-truck - especially with an empty trailer - on an east-west road, because you might get blown over. But it really isn’t too bad here - the house isn’t rocking, and I haven’t heard any of the deck furniture getting blown over. (Since we’ve got the metal kind, you can usually hear them when they blow over, if you’re awake.) As long as the electricity & internet stay on, I’m good. We rather expect to have wind here, and have been known to complain when it is calm. Okay, it is good night for sure this time! Good night, Doc, Sojourner & anyone else hanging around!

Sojourner ~ So guy movies? I don’t like a lot of special effects, but I do enjoy a good explosion.

LuvH8 - The Profesenal (or however it’s spelled) is very good! It has action at the beggining and action and explossions at the end with the middle having a good story line about a small girl who is recently orphened joining with a solo hit man and their relationship.

I don’t think we talked about the turn at the tree but did talk a lot of how things used to look here years ago.

If we feed the fish to the penquins we wouldn’t have to figure out how to feed the fish. Just kidding! (however, being short of cash I did find a company to get a policy on Herman, just in case)

A hole made with the coffee would allow the feeding of the fish. If the hole was large enough the penquins could get in and feed themselves. However, if the penquines eat fish that is contaminated with Doc’s Nuclear coffee then the penquines might ….

No, but some could probable be flipped up there with a spoon.

I think green tobasco sauce would go with anything. I coud try some in my breakfast drink and you could try putting some in homemade chocklet chip cookies!

You any good at this spoon flippin thing? We can’t let the penguins eat the fish, we’ve named most of them. Although I am a little concerned about the fangs Hank is growing.

A small spoon could flip a little easily. Chocklet cake crumbs would probably be good for feeding the fish.
