Well, well, I’m first up to bat. Okay I can’t swing with an empty stomach so here is the breakfast menu today.

Got a good night sleep and wanted to get an early start. Been very busy. Got meetings to get ready for today and are forecasts are due.

It doesn’t look like I’ll get out early though.

Looking forward to the week-end to recharge the energy cells.

I’ve got a fairly busy weekend also. Three car repairs so far!

Grog hope you have a great day at work. I was informed yesterday they want computer hard drive shut down after of forever leaving it running it’s getting harder for am worker to open and gets hot. There thinking it maybe getting ready to quit, if this happens I will be first I hope, to get a new version, and they don’t like that in this big dept.

Let you know I tested for Jr. college and have been accepted. I would up taking 2 classes, I’ll be doing this online, and have to pay. All my check which I get paid today will pay so will my hubby’s retirement check. I did apply for Fed help, I think I’ve been approve. I hope they send the check direct to them and not to me. If to me I tend to turn over to Jr. college.

I can’t go out because I have to keep a close eye on my dog who just got spayed. I’m getting ready to give her some medicine.

Ladywolf - Hope she does fine! This can give you a chance to catch up on whatever you need to do inside. However, just not being able to go out makes you want to do things somewhere else! :-)

I did it. I gave my puppy her medicine without any problems. I’m so happy. :-)

To post a picture in the comments:

The Unofficial GoComics Style Guide by The Old Wolf is linked to at the beginning of every Pibgorn strip in the comments. It gives directions on most of what we do in the comments.

Posting a picture is the same whether it is animated or not. Here are some notes I took when I was having trouble learning:

The picture has to be available online.

Then the method is:


The picture should be 315 or less pixels wide. If it is not the extra length will not show up.

If you want to include text: (note there should not be a space between the b and the s, I just used it because I was having trouble getting it to show up without it)

and/or you can put the non-breaking space character (&nbsp ;) after the image and then post text after like:

The number of &nb sp; you put between the image command and the text determines the amount blank space between the text and picture. More may be required to get the words to show up below the picture instead of next to the picture. Especially if the picture does not take up the whole width of the column. It took ten for the above image to have text below instead of beside the image.

To determine the image’s unique URL:

To determine the URL, in Opera, at least, you right click on the image, then select “Copy Image Address”, which puts the image’s URL on your clipboard, ready to paste in.

With Firefox, right click on the image, select “Copy Image Location”

With IE, right-click on the image, select “Properties” and copy/paste the URL from the box it opens.

~ You can put your own images/pictures online using myspace, photobucket or something else. To get the URL on photobucket you can use the direct link below the picture or the right click methods.

Oh, you can also right click on an image select copy and then right click on the email you are writing and select paste to put a picture in the email.

Thanks, Sojo! I don’t want a full-time permanent job, so hopefully will be easier to find something. I’m also not sure whether I should look for temp work in the town my hubby works, or in the Wichita area. But I figured I’d try here first, and then if I don’t get any nibbles in a couple of months, then I’d look elsewhere.

@Rmom, good luck with the job search. At least our part of the country seems not to be so hard hit–and jobs seem easier to find. BTW, your avatar looks like a storm moving in.

That reminds me–need to go and check the weather, and find out what the heat has in mind for us tonight and the next few days.

Hi, bmonK! Matter of fact, I do think I took that picture when a storm was rolling in at sunset. I don’t think Wichita is much worse than the rest of the country, but the county where my hubby works has a higher unemployment rate.

SOJO I had to return after viewing the animals…giraffes are awesome aren’t they…and the Jaguar (?) Where in Africa was this? Beautiful sunset and rushing water.

The only safari we have been on was at Disney World which wasn’t bad for stateside.
