I just got off the phone with my doctor and he said that this lingering cold is just that………….lingering. I already knew that! He doesn’t suggest an anti-biotic as he feels I am over the hump now and to just let it run it’s course. He doesn’t want to do too much mixing with what I already am taking. Hopefully only a few days longer. :^(

DemonBaby thinks she is LuvH8, she also knows she has been off her mood stabilizer for about 3 weeks due to a possible allergic reaction. Furthermore, she just started a new mood stabilizer which does not play well with other medications (especially those for a cold). She either has a cold or is having a an allergic reaction to the new mood stabilizer. She is also still occassionally experiencing mild hives from the previous medication. Do you really think this is a good time for revenge?

Oh, the scale also went up five pounds in two days.

DEMONBABY Sorry to be mean. I have been on every mood stabilizer/ant-depressant known to man. Some made me sleepy, one gave me explosive diarrhea, and most did nothing. I can sympathize. A well known physician recommended bed rest, but his prescription could not be taken on an empty stomach. The doctors scale weighed me in at—-never you mind.

Hello all and thank you Rmom for letting everyone know I had problems this morning. For some reason sign called Management would not let me access any strips at all. Tried refresh pop up with management. And I already had two almost hectic days with microsoft getting a new software installed.

Sister Kab you were right about the accounting terms. There is so many that I have to memorize. Also I must learn the description of each term. That makes a lot of studying for me to do. Which is why I’m only here on the weekends now.

Then there is math, English and a computer typing class as well, but those aren’t heavy loads for me.

Little Sister for the accounting class your taking watch very carefully on the words for right terms. If you took any in HS there you used ink pen, whereas college you can use pencil. Are you taking basic Accounting? And where did you find that unique icon. I think I will be sign up for Understanding Psychology again. I have failed all tests, which I knew I would.

What sound tape is your instructor using? Over 10 years ago WATC, Wichita Area Technical College, used Cortez Peters, I made it to 60 for last test and I was the only one who did this, rest dropped. Which type of typing class are you taking?

Children’s Pastor head this and will be air games kids actually love, also refreshments. This came at a great time for me for this subject and has been approved. First one is 23 2nd one 30. Church is expecting up to 500 children. Parent’s will be overseeing to. This is for Understanding Psychology and I document the event. Next one will be for Socialolodgy. I need 5 hours and this Autumn Bash works for time frame. And Little Sister I know what you mean be time frame me it’s one class now then 19th 2nd class. Language of Medicine. I have been working on this be interesting to see what instructor wants done.

For your accounting class is this basic accounting?

First we have to memorize the keyboard, then we have to learn to type without watching our hands.( A habit I’m still trying to break.)

My speed is nothing to brag about, and I still make mistakes.

I have a lot to catch up on tech support and yelling on phone put me behind for installing 2010 office software. Found out from them my daughter’s guy who ordered on ebay found someone who bootlegs and we didn’t know, made me very mad as we wanted a real CD rom. Though I got for a student discount at Microsoft now I can get busy. And for Microsoft was still cheaper for student’s then losy bootleg were out of the extra money. Microsoft is trying to bust them and shut whoever down.

Little Sister I have a recomendation for you and I used this but a different style. If you are learning basic keyboarding. Google it and type in learning typing they have also when one is typing about watching fingers. with no real set speed. Me I tried one of their typing tests and foun out I was still to slow.

Yes it is basic accounting.

Me texting. Sometimes. Though I don’t think it’s a habit. Least I hope not.

Then your class will be very slow and you I don’t think will finish the book. I had both basic accounting and accounting I there is a difference. Basic you learn basic but accounting I you go through the whole book and surprise there is a tax packet drives one nuts. But also you learn a new accounting software. The project is usually last few days of class and takes a lot of paper to print on. The test on this though is small. Here is a hint instructor tells how much is the answer student that would be you if you go this route has to figure the rest. Very difficult and I didn’t pass that but manage to pass accounting. If you class is like what I had rulers and pencil will be used. Don’t go very far on drawing single to double lines with rulers or counted off.

Does your insturctor play a tape with either a man or woman’s voice telling typers what is expected on finger movement?

Usually a man’s voice.

Are you a fast reader, me I’m not.and now harder to memorize like I had to. 10 years ago I though my brain was going to fry.

Then they are using tape called Cortez Peters. There will be different types of typing exercises. You must be on Beginner’s. Before you took the class did you do a typing tests? This is sometimes required to detmine you were you are placed.

Hi, tribe! I’ve got to head to bed soon, so I can’t stick around. Little Sis - When my sons were learning to type, I bought a computer typing program for them. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of it, but they enjoyed playing the games, so it wasn’t hard to get them to practice. They thought for sure they were fast doing the “search & destroy” method, but when I would sit down and play the game using touch typing, and therefore, beat them at the game, they were motivated to learn touch typing. Here is where I bought it - they are a great place to buy homeschooling curriculum, but I think anyone can buy from them. If you need help with accounting, holler at Grog or myself. He’s probably better at the more advanced levels, than I am. However, I excel at the bookkeeping/Acct I levels. I just taught it to my youngest last year, so I’m not rusty, either. Of course, probably everything we’ll tell you is in your textbook, but sometimes it helps when someone else explains the same time, because they might explain it in a way that “clicks” for you.

We are back. James had a great time at the varsity game for his HS.

Little Sis - I forgot to add, that the company that sells the typing software does great product reviews. It is the only place I ever found that would tell what they did NOT like about a product, besides what they did! (Usually the lowest prices, too.)

I think my problem right now is allergies, so until we get a good hard freeze, I have to put up with them. Thankfully, mine aren’t as bad as some people’s, so it could be worse. I was really getting agervated at them for miscomminication one and sending from one to the other. And they misunderstood, I told them all I wanted then was and I bought from Microsoft store was to install 2010 MS Office Professional software. The last tech helped me and help to elimante the bogus one by remote. That is all I wanted. Very infruating.

Now outisde of having what I type for discussion group for on-line making sure that is great, I have to wing it with the text. I guess instructor has found some who cheated not sure how. For when I get my answers I do print them for review. There is no retaking tests. Not sure how others do it and they are on timer. I have enough hard time relaxing while looking in book for tests. Though found out I did better but too many wrong. I expected this. Next time I hope to do better and I am prepared though for different type of tests.

Kab - If you need to buy anymore software, you ought to go to Academic Superstore. They give great prices, as long as you are a student or teacher. (You have to scan your student ID card and submit it to them to get the discounted price.) With our oldest being a computer geek, we’ve ended up buying a lot of software for him, and that place has saved us a lot of $.

For Saturday the union will be voting on changes for Hawker Beechcraft CEO’s have recommended changing and change they did. Ever hear about words bully that is what Hawker Beechcraft is doing bullying. If union workers says no Hawker will proceed to start moving to Louisiana with the enticement of Federal Fema funds of up to know $4million they raised it from a lower price. And workers have already stated that Hawker plans to move one of side buildings there in the future.

Hi, Rmom. I also have allergies along with the condition I came down with last year. That still is there enough that they won’t release me from the original meds. Sometimes I don’t know which of the three is bothering me at a given time. Or if one is making the other seem worse. It stinks!

Lonewolf I do feel your pain though I sadly say I don’t know what a cold is like. I know about allergies that turn into sinus infections but not about colds. My brother-in-law a viral type for coughing had to wear off and my sister some time of head virus nothing Dr.’s could do anything about.
