My reasons may be jumping to conclusions, but when you have two strikes against you as I do, and you read about something that was said at another comic as I just now got through reading, Well I don’t want any conflict not by them which I will not name or by the Great folks who run this gocomics site that we all love.

My back yard is dangerous right now. The leaves on the trees should start drying up and changing color, but instead we get these late rains and everything is in bloom. Now my back yard is full of bees.

I am not allergic to them, but some people get really sick from bee stings.

Stopping briefly working on subjects.

Prep and clean up are the most important part of a job. Having finished my painting, I turned the kitchen sink on my roller when I noticed a catastrophe. I had paint on my Red Sox jacket. Running to the laundry closet, I realized I had removed the handle. During this crisis, I noticed paint on my new Levis. I finally pre soaked and put my clothes in the wash. Returning to the kitchen in boxers and socks, I was mystified about an inch of water on the floor. Being a GENIUS, it only took the better half of a minute to figure out to turn off the faucet.Panicking(my reaction to emergencies) I threw every towel in the flood. I went to wring some out, but the sink was full. Racing against time in case SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED woke up, I cleaned the entire place spic and span.

Should I tell her?

Hello to one and all I just got on for a few minutes to say hello and scan comments briefly. My poor daughter is outside Salina, trying to get the car into that fair city and get an alternator put in as it sounds like that has been draining the battery. She is calling roadside assistance and I suggested seeing if someone at the little Shell place Knew of someone who could charge up the battery in the meantime. What a dilemma!

HopeandJoy there should be lot of places in Salina to help stranded motorist if someone will stop is the next problem.

Hello all an who will read later. If you all remember I was talking a month ago about CEO of Hawker Beechcraft wanting to leave Wichita, there will be a high possibility of this happening, (my hubby is retired and from Cessna not Hawker Beechcraft) union presented workers with the revised propose contract rejected over 55% from 45% accepted. Hawker Beechcraft was very disappointed over what workers voted on. This has not been said yet but Louisiana could get the aircraft company yet on FEMA money.

The Saga of the Stranded continues Their insurance for roadside assistance came through and took them back from Salina area to Abilene where they are to wait until Monday Morning when a Chevrolet dealership will supposedly figure out what can be done…alternator or not to alternate etc..,,,various offers and schemes by us to get them home and/or stay with car and bring it home when repaired have been rejected…..so we are in a holding pattern at present. People who are mechanics on Sunday are few.

At least the trio are in a motel and they had supper at McDonalds and daughter can do office work from her laptop if necessary she says… but hopefully the kids can get back to school somehow.

I am fretting!!!!

Hopeandjoy sort of been there, done that. I was on my way to Dallas on a business trip when my car hit some debris on the road just north of Huntsville. It wasn’t high enough off the ground to clear what ever it was (though the car ahead cleared it and I didn’t have time or a lane to avoid it). I was at least able to get a rental and make it to Dallas a couple hours later than planned. When I got back, they were still working on it, but at least got a courtesy car until the job was done.

Good Evening Grog. - I just remembered I was stuck in Salina with an alternator that went out late Saturday night! Only I was driving a busload of people, about 30 to 40. We had to have people drive from Wichita (about 90 miles away) to pick up everyone. Got everyone back after midnight or 1:00 a.m.

I had fun and met up with some friends of mine at the mall.

I wsa out buying a casette player for my new car. Now I need someone to install it.

I got back in time to see the latter half of the Notre Dame win and the last part of that wild Auburn win when Notre Dame finished up.

It was one of the hour TV shows - I think it was called The Locked Door

The zombie movie stars Bela Lugosi .

Oooooooooooh. I liked the Alfred Hitchcock hour, when ever I got to see it.

I love movies with Bela Lugosi.

Grog - Are you familler with Plan 9 from Outer Space?

I’ve heard of it…seen it in video stores and online, but I haven’t actually seen the movie. I guess it’s not even good enough for TCM.

I think it has been rated as the worst movie ever made. It stared Bela Lugosi and Vampira. Lugosi was only in the first few minutes of the movie though. I think it was 3 hours into the filming he died of a heart attack. I forgot who replaced him but he was 6” taller so he held his cape over his face the rest of the movie to help with the height difference. There are a lot of stupid things in the movie as they only spent $60,000 to make it. It is real stupid and one might just watch it to see how stupid it is!

Has the price come down a lot on Blue Ray Players? (I’m sure it has) It used to be you could buy a Play Station for a lot less and you had a Blue Ray Player and a game machine both. I haven’t checked prices for a while though.

Years ago you could buy a MP3 player just for the memory chip in it for about 1/5 of what it would cost to just buy the chip. As a lot of people were figuring that out a lot prices have evened out now I think.

Of course if you get a Blue Ray you need a High Definition TV. Otherwise the image is the same as DVD. Still, the images give me the start of a headache after only a few minutes of trying to focus on it.

Ooooh! There are other things like that. I understand with rebates it was or is cheaper to buy a new printer than to buy ink. Printer ink costs way more than it should.

DemonBaby - With my vision problems I don’t know if it would be worth it for me or might even cause me problems to. It would be nice to have if it did look better though!

You have worked with art programs, to me the image is like a picture that has been sharpened just a little too much. My eyes try to make the image the same as the real world. Besides, people look better not that clear. Every blemish and pore shows.
