Does that come with real maple syrup or whipped cream?An oil drum full of DOC’S WORLD FAMOUS (as seen on Adam’s Home) NUCLEAR COFFEE should suffice, but keep a second on the reactor.

Good news - #2 child is out of the hospital and controlling symptoms with meds.
Reasonable news - she can go back to work next week.

I was going to leave a marker this morning, but gocomics wouldn’t let me sign in.
Grog - Yes, I’ve been pretty busy lately. I doubt I’m ever going to have as much time to hang around gocomics again, unless I break a leg or something. I could justify spending hours surfing at the computer while I was still homeschooling, as I had to be available for my son’s questions, etc. But now that I’m not teaching him, I’ve got to be actually working most of the time. Current project is transcribing or scanning stuff from my parents, that I think my sibiling would want a copy of, or else I just want in digital form to take up less room.
Don’t you have to be here in case we need help? You do have your license to practice annd are certified to safely restrain people if necessary? Oh, you need a partner for that. Or you could just use a tranq gun?

We’ve been “shutting down” the greenhouse today. It is so sad to see it almost empty! Moved a bunch of herbs for indoor growing for the winter. and picked the last of the tomatoes, red and green. Now is when I have to use all those great recipies for green tomatoes.
(Pulls her gun out of her holster and starts shooting people where they sit down. But wait! Yes, they are all on the floor, but instead of sleeping there is screaming. Rmom checks her gun.)
Rmom: Whoops! I meant to use the tranq gun not the 45. Next time they will listen the first time.
Uhh, the only licenses I have are to drive and carry a concealed weapon… I don’t know if my gun will take tranquilizer rounds.
However, having homeschooled two sons has given me a wide range of experiences that could be helpful in controlling unruly people.
MontanaLady - I’ve applied to do some substitute teaching, but I guess cold & flu season hasn’t arrived yet, as I haven’t been called. I’m trying to sort through stuff that belonged to my parents (both deceased), and reduce it to what I absolutely have to keep, or just can’t let go of. (I’ve got a lot of quilts, other sewn items and paintings Mom made that I’m keeping.) I also need to go through all my homeschooling stuff and other things to get rid of what I don’t want or need to keep, and organize what I am keeping. We need to put our house on the market, and I don’t want to move junk just because I didn’t take time to sort it first.
Luv - I’m only legally allowed to shoot to kill, and only when “a reasonable person” would believe my life is in danger. (Or it can be a third person in danger.)
Luv - It isn’t an easy task! I’ll feel better when I can actually get the stuff OUT of the house. Right now, it is just moving it from one spot to another as I go through it.
Luv - We’re going to have some shooting fun on Saturday here. My youngest turns 18, so one activity for his birthday will be shooting “reactive” targets. I’ve bought some pumpkins and oranges which hopefully will make a big mess when they are shot. (We’re doing this outside at our place, so I won’t have to clean up the mess.)
Luv - I’ve thought about filling balloons with water & freezing them. But anything that isn’t quickly bio-degradeable, I’d have to pick up, or else put up with litter on our yard. Hi, ElDo!boo-monk - Hate to let you down, but we don’t have any .45s (that I know of). Our handguns are 9mm, shotguns are 12 & 16 gauge, and I think all the rifles are .22s I don’t know that I see fire when a 9mm is shot, but the muzzle and brass are pretty hot afterwards. Of course, I try to stand behind the person holding the gun, so it is a little hard to see.
Grog - I had problems, but I just waited a few hours, and then it worked okay. I figured it was on their end, since I got a gocomics error page (the one that used to have Opus).
