Remember those green tomatoes we all discussed about a month ago?????

Well, we closed down the green house about 2 weeks ago, and brought all the green tomatoes in the house. Put them in brown bags, and they are really ripening quite fast. I’ve got almost all of them in the freezer, and made a huge pot of marinara sauce. (yum) only about another 40 left to process.

Hi Montana Lady - those sound good. I wish our tomato plants produced something this year, but it was a very bad year for our garden. All we really managed to get was a couple of pumpkins, which we didn’t actually plant. The kids were glad of them for Halloween though…

Hi, tribe! Just popping in for a very short visit. Grog - Thanks for the heads up on the mods visit to Lio. I don’t have time today to read the comments at all my normal strips, but I made time to read Lio’s since you were kind enough to alert me. Picked up a LOT of signs today - found out that we were to pick up all the small signs for that party on our assigned route. Then our friend will take any that aren’t his to the HQ, where the others will get theirs back. Nice swapping system, and saves $.

‘Round here, we don’t have the problem with election signs–all such material has to be removed the day before the election. Which also means that election day is the first day the TV and radio are free of the political ads.
