Just got back this afternoon from Yellowstone…..what gorgeous weather!!!!!!

It seems that we don’t have the beautiful red leaves that y’all get in the midwest and east part of the country. All of the trees were pretty barren already.

As for Old Faithful……we pulled in about 3:15 Mountain time, and I was wearing red, hubby was in Steeler’s grey shirt.

Yup! Be careful though, you start playing these games and suddenly it is three hours later. Maybe that is just me. I really seem to have no real sense of time.

I think he is 78. And very spritely for his age. And that his previous avatar is really his picture making a silly face.

I have Hoyle card games. It was a few dozen and one of them is Solitaire and there are a few dozen of them.

I ply them on a rainy day, when I’m bored.

I lose track of time no matter what I do! LOL

I wish my real breakfasts were as good as the virtual ones around here.

Tomorrow @ 7 AM: Kolatches (recommended by Grog) and a Divine CocoMocha Float (with a scoop or two of Godiva Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream). Oh, yes, and the usual orange juice.

I don’t think I know those kinds of solitaire. I need music to play. I don’t have the patience or focus for really long or complicated games anymore.

I usually have a game going along with GoComics and switch between those and what I’m working on for variety.

Hmmm, no spam reports this morning. I’m not going to mothball the SSBN Erehwon, we’ve had lulls in action before. It looks like it takes a bit of effort to create a program which will catch spam with the friendly ‘howdy doody’ greeting at the beginning yet let through legitimate Yappy Nuts.

Just tuned in……………computer virus problems again. Guess we’ll have to wipe it all out and start fresh. Next week…..too much to do over the weekend.

I LOVE playing Spider Solitaire!!!!! I can only handle the “medium” level. One of these days I’ll try “difficult”. Oh, the challenge. (and fun)

I forgot to mention, James had an award ceremony from his football program at the high school this morning. No personal awards, just some embroidered 14 numbers for the year he graduates and a football pin. All the players got the same thing. They announced there names and positions played and had them parade across the stage. They said to dress appropriately with no jeans or t-shirts. Many had jeans and a few had t-shirts on. James was the only one with a tie on. They even mentioned his “appropriate” attire as he walked across the stage. I think my head grew two sizes or more! :^))

Hi, everyone! Wolfie - My oldest brother is a wrestling fanatic. So much so, he frequently is a volunteer coach for high school wrestling. Luv - We’ve been experiencing several sunny days here lately, but that’s not unusual for KS. It might be cold enough to get frostbite in a minute, but at the same time it can easily be a beautiful sunny day, best experienced from looking through the window from inside a warm, comfortable house.

My daughter used to be the stat person for the wrestling team in HS and College..I think they called her a trainer She fetched and carried for the team and coach along with other students…She loved watching the wrestling and helped me learn.

Hi, Sojo & Hope&Joy! Hope&Joy - Stay warm. At least the weather shouldn’t be too rotten today in your area.

My brother is disappointed that we didn’t push our sons into wrestling. (He’s a lifelong bachelor and doesn’t have any kids.) Since my husband wrestled a little in high school, we briefly considered it for our first born, when he was four years old. But they had practice almost every evening, and we were in the midst of building our house. We decided that our home lives were NOT going to revolve around our kids. Five days a week just seemed too excessive for a 4 year old!

Sure everyone brag about their weather. At least we have beautiful pink and red and yellow and orange leaves. Not that anyone wants to go out in the dismal weather to enjoy them. And really they are kind of eerie. Leaves aren’t supposed to turn bright pink are they? Maybe it is some weird chemical spill no one told us about?

I wouldn’t mind going to a football game in person, if I have a team to root for, and the weather isn’t too uncomfortable. In fact, I’ve been to more football games than my hubby. I’m not sure he ever went to one. But since he’s not into football, I haven’t gone to one since we got together. Not a fun thing to do by myself.

Luv - If my brother lived nearby, he probably would have volunteered. And I might have let him. But he was living in AZ at the time, so we usually only saw him once a year.

Never really been away, Luv. Just bizzier than normal, mentally and at work and haven’t had a whole lot to contribute. But thank you - I don’t know what to say.

Runs With Beer, you haven’t mentioned how your daughter is doing recently. I hope you hear something positive soon and are getting to stay in touch.

She’s feels fine and is going on job interviews to get something that has insurance so someone will look at her more than once. In the meantime, they are controlling her symptoms with meds.

RwB - That’s good to hear! Hope see gets a job she is good at and has good insurance. Will continue to keep you and her in my prayers.

Ewww! Insurance stuff is yucky! I hope she manages to find something that will work.

I am sorry I sometimes forget if you mention government you are probably talking politics. Ooops! Wait does this mean that if ………. oh never mind. I still have some practicing on the angelic thing.

Well, we have had a sighting or three of the dreaded SPAM. The first one the crew sliced up and fried, making sandwiches. The second and third were the truly awful email variety. We’re spiffing up the ship, loading up the supplies and filling the tanks (and coffee machines) with Dr. Toon’s Nuclear Coffee and Sub fuel, I noticed it was more blue-green today, someone’s been tinkering with it, but the crew assures me the taste is just as good if not better.

We’ll be casting off shortly, to cruise the GoComic Sea and keep it safe from all threats domestic and spamish.

I’ve given up my experiments. I am going to be good from now on. I will no longer tell Lonewolf he is old, just because it riles him up. I will quit sneaking into Doc’s house and adding decaf to the pipeline. I will no longer make comments about fresh venison or elk during Bambi movies.

Doc, I think I have only had the throwing up stomach flu thingy two or three times in my life. I only had right before sleep sickness for about a week. Those evil evil people do not tell you that once you throw up you feel better!!!!

I discovered it on the last night of morning sickness, the rest of the time I was just terribly nauseated.

I used to work with a guy that would come to work no matter how sick he was. He said if they didn’t want him there they could have sick pay. He had to go home when he started throwing up in the wastebasket. He came to work sick like that more then once.
