Rmom, I am quite sure you are capable of getting into trouble whereever you are. Have you considered writing messages on your husband’s clothes where only the two of you will see them?

HopeandJoy, you mention donuts on a day I need to go shopping? Ummmm……. now I have to go look at them! My daughter tells me it is not normal to go look at all the pretty desserts, when you aren’t getting one.

Sojo, I wonder if I can get the camera too. So you did not doctor your pink leaves? I didn’t think so then I got confuzzled by mention of art program doctoring. The leaves were about the same color as the bright pink we get. The color is amazing and unreal.

Luv Is Trying - The pink leaves photo I posted was changed to that color. I put “?” after the comment to help indicate they weren’t the real color. It was the same photo as the red leaves photo I posted (it was unretouched). I have seen pink leaves though and some years when the leaves on my tree don’t turn bright red some are pink. :-)

A Scarlett Oak tolerates a wide range of soils. Leaves are glossy green on top, yellow green below, and scarlet in the fall. Crown is open and rounded providing light shade. The Scarlett, Red or a Red maple is the best solution anyone around here has for the type of tree you have.

HopeandJoy - This is a variety of red oak, I don’t remember the name. It was developed I think for bright red fall leaves. In the summer the leaves are green on both sides I think (now I am having trouble remembering), but it might be called a Scarlett Oak.

My neighbor across the street has maple trees that have leaves that are green on top and sort of silvery on bottom and turn yellow in fall. They are also large leaves and a lot!

Luv Is Trying - Like most things the camera I have is no longer made. As it is a about 6 years old there are better and cheaper ones now! :-)

I went to work, but got sick with the trots and nausea. Not a good place when you’re in the back of the office, and you have to go up to the front and another good distance to get to the bathroom. I am feeling better now.

They don’t talk?

Geckos are a kind of lizard, with incredibly sticky fingerpads. The real ones don’t talk (pace Geiko). The question is not whether they will be nice to Kitty and Katrina, but will Kitty and Katrina be nice to them.

…I was driving on the highway and decided that having visibility reduced to somewhere around 100 feet meant I would be prudent and drive under the speed limit. People kept passing me. I wonder how many others thought they should slow down?

Most drivers, given a chance, are idiots, I have found. Once when on an icy interstate, just before it officially opened (when I got 20 miles away from home, I saw a whole line of cars and trucks starting out from the other direction), I was creeping along at about 40 mph–and there were plenty of SUVs passing at 60+.

The saying around here is “Four-wheel drive makes a difference: you get stuck in a bigger snowdrift.”

Bmonk, the funny thing was that I really thought I should have been driving slower.

Kitty will be good. (He’s kind of a scaredy cat.) He likes to play but that is it. So you will be in charge of the geckos? How many? Are you going to name them? And will they be eating from the breakfast menu?

Whilst I recover from what appears to be minor food poisoning me crew shall spit and shine the Big Top. It is the least that can be done for all the goodies we inhale.

Geckos are small to average sized lizards belonging to the family Gekkonidae, found in warm climates throughout the world. Geckos are unique among lizards in their vocalizations, making chirping sounds in social interactions with other geckos. Gekkonidae is the largest family of lizards, with an estimated 2,000 different species worldwide and many others likely yet to be discovered. The name stems from the Indonesian/Javanese word Tokek, inspired by the sound these animals make.

Geckos come in various colors and patterns such as purple, pink, blue,and also white .Proper foods for the geckos range from small baby crickets, roaches, phoenix worms, spiders, ants and manufactured diets such as crested gecko diet. Many have a sweet tooth and like fresh fruits and honey.

I think we can let them mostly clean up the leftovers, and the visiting vermin…
