Ha! Now I can enjoy the culinary wonders of his imagination along with the zero calories of BT breakfast. As long as I cook only what’s on the menu, I can’t grow fat.. To prove this a suggest you get your BS in GoComic Logic and Philosophy. If it’s not funny—-

Many times I’ve arrived home, and had to soak in a tub of hot water to get warmed up to comfortable again.

No, I must have missed the question. I have professed as a religious–so I suppose that means I’m in the profession. I’m no high muckity-muck. Monks don’t have grades beyond being finally professed, unless you get elected Abbot or something. We do have seniority–but that’s by length of time in profession, so it depends on how many people joined after you–which these days makes for slow advancement.

    BTW, when was the question?

A very pleasant late afternoon greetings to you all!

Sorry to pop in so late. I have photos of the flowers blooming in my patio, but haven’t taken them out of my camera yet. I have to transfer them to one laptop, then to this one (or else do all the cropping and such on the first, not quite as easy a task).

One of these days, I simply must come up with a permanent alternate breakfast menu, so I can slip it in when others can’t (or are late, or offer things I at least don’t particularly care for).

So… Luv Is No Longer Angelic? Figures. Don’t get discouraged, ducky. :)

About Jungian/Myers-Briggs types from a student of the theory behind them…

The way the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is administered these days strays far from the creators’ intentions. First, it should never be taken without the feedback of an administrator (one reason is that it gets the “core type” right the first time only 70% of the time). If you do so take it, then realize it can be off by 1-3 letters. The relative “strengths” of your preferences for E/I, S/N, T/F, and J/P are meant to be general indications of your preferences at the moment - nothing more. And those can indeed change over time, but that very change can hide your “core type” almost beyond recognition.

Second, in reality (when one is discussing what is really relevant, one’s “core type”) no one is a “borderline” anything. There is a difference - a very, very important one - between developing skill in or even liking for a cognitive process and finding it easy or less easy to use the same process. The one is nurture, the other is nature - apparently inborn.

Third, what really counts is the order of your cognitive processes and what “archetypes” they play in your mind and your relationship to the rest of the world. An INTP is VASTLY DIFFERENT in his mental and emotional construction from an INFP, so there is no such thing as a “borderline state” between them or a change over one’s lifetime between them. Here is a chart illustrating how and why this is so.

What can and does change is the emphasis one places on different aspects of one’s temperament, the interactive styles one uses socially and in leadership and the adaptive types one takes on according to context. But the MBTI isn’t intended to clue you in on how that’s happening and why, and it’s a misuse of the test’s indications of “strengths of preference” to say that it is.

bmonk, from all indications you’ve shown you’re INFP - no way are you an INTP. (By all indications, it was Joe Allen Doty who was an INTP.) Of course ethically you should find this out for yourself, but don’t rely on the MBTI to make that distinction clear to you! It is only a first approximation.

I took Meyer-Briggs over 25 years ago I believe. Took it again about 6 months ago and there was no change.

Johanan, you are scaring me. (Just so you know.) Thank you for the additional information.

I do hope that if someone intends to make life changing decisions and stuff they do not do so based entirely upon the results of any personality test. I am definiitely not cut out for leadership myself.

Hi, tribe! Sojo - Thanks for answering my unasked question - are you a mind reader? I didn’t see any snow on my way home, but I noticed the outside temperature was in the high 30’s, so thought once the sun went down, we could get snow. bmonk - Your virtual offer is accepted! Now I may have to do that in real life. At least now that I’m home, I can soak in a tub. The trailer only has a shower. I took the quiz and it says I’m an ENTJ. I’ve taken other tests (such as John Trent’s characterizing people as Lions, Golden Retrievers, Beavers & Otters) and know what I am on those, but not familar with this one enough to know if I agree with its conclusions.

So am I, ♠Lonewolf♠ and I ate too. But I also believe in planning ahead. Especially after last year when I was looking all over to find a Tur-Duc-Hen. In Dallas, they seemed to be so much easier to find and get.
