Good morning! Quaby - My scanner allows me to pick the file type, so I can make either PDF or jpeg (among other choices). I’ve decided it is high time I spend time cleaning my office area. It is having too much similarity to Jeremy’s room. I did find my long lost external hard drive while digging for batteries to use in a Christmas present. Which means I’ll probably be off line most of the day while I do an overdue back up.

Well I’m going to take a short nap before I get cooking. I’m making a French Canadian Tourtiere with enough piquante sauce for pork left over for my Christmas Roast Pork that I’ll make Christmas Eve.

Rmom your office can’t be anywhere like Jeremy’s room. Now your sons could easily. For my kids I told them have a treasure hunt see what they could find taught them responsiblities and they trashed unneccesary stuff. I wish Zitts, Baby Blues, H&L, etc where here as well the comments would be great. Just think Hagar in competion with Andy.

hi Grog & Sojo hello Tribe who were here earlier. sorry i’ve been gone so long. part of it was being busy (though i should make time for my friends online), part of it was my internet was out for a few days. Sojo is it the Ellery Queen tv show that starred Jim Hutton and David Wayne? i saw a bunch of those episodes syndicated on a local station a few years back and really liked them. Grog i had tourtiere for the first time two weeks ago at my boss’ house. he had a Christmas open house that turned into supper when only a few of us indicated we could make it. it was quite good - she actually put some cinnamon in it with the other spices.

Hello all I have been watching tapes catching up I do miss personal reading hope to do this soon. I am enjoying a small break. Most know I am trying my mind at taking classes on-line my aim is Medical Encoding. I am not the smartest one but am trying and as some have said I am learning something new. Sunday is church day and with a short work week. After this week I will be getting much closer to turning older.

Pop! Yep, it’s been a busy day for me. Mostly trying to make plans with my hubby for the trip to his parents, and getting ready for Christmas. Sojo & Kab - The news say there’s a big wreck on W. Kellogg. One said at West St. another said at Dugan. There’s been a lot of wrecks the last few days!! yyyguy - Thanks for the compliments on my photos. good night Sojo & Rmom (and i will get some more of my own photos on to photobucket - i promise!) it should be a little easier (other than finding the time) since i bought myself a digital SLR camera a couple of months back. it’s been with me to Niagara Falls and to Princeton for my oldest nephew’s wedding. i still have to finish the roll of film in the old camera, but i think it will be retired at that point while i learn the ins and outs of my new toy. and “Hi” to you to Little Sister - you don’t think i’d forget you do you? still catching up on toons. glad to see Cleats back in reruns, it was one of my regulars.

just a little bit, though we had a bunch of people (including a driver for the company i work at) stranded on highway 402 between London and Sarnia at the start of the week (about two hours or so west of me) and an hour north of me has been digging out for a while now. i think Toronto (and its outskirts) has one of those “microclimates” you hear about big cities having.

Yeah, Toronto’s been lucky that way. Montreal has rarely been so fortunate, espcecially last year. (A buddy of mine sent pictures. I would have hated it.) Montreal will get lake effect snow when it doesn’t have some sort of major system going through.

I probably should load those into my photobucket collection, if I can find the e-mail.

Too bad. I don’t have them….or they are on my office computer. But the snow was as high as the lower part of the roof of his house,

on my work computer i have some photos emailed by a friend of a friend from St Anthony’s NL a couple of years back. snow as high as the church roof. piles at the roadside that went half way up the telephone poles. St. Anthony is on the tip of the peninsula on the island that points toward Labrador, so it gets lake effect from both sides.

I’m glad I don’t live there either, yyyguy. I think I’d have to make sure I had provisons for 8 months (and toilet paper, meds etc). before spring comes along.

i agree. it must take a hardy breed to live all the way up there. though i plan to visit in 2012, i don’t think i’ll get that far up the island.
