Now that the presents are bought and the tree trimmed, I feel it only fair that I buy myself a new, bigger than I ever need computer. Julian Assange is complaining that a confidential police report on him was leaked. “Assange’s lawyers demanded an official investigation, saying they can only imagine one motive behind the leaks: ‘Trying to make Julian look bad.’ ”

Little Sister, can you fasten the lids so they would stay on while the containers are on their sides? Then let gravity do most of the work? The water will drain out the same cracks it gets in.

It sounds yucky. Maybe some hot chocolate with peppermint or some practice kick boxing? You could bake cookies (Ooops, how did I triple the salt?) for your cousin?

@Lil’ Sis, we feel for you with the excess rain. Too much of anything is not good.

Hmmm. Just yesterday or so I was talking to someone about WWII and rain–wherever it was, whosis had to drill holes in the bottom of their toolboxes, because otherwise the rain would fill them up while they worked.

We just had a fire alarm about 90 minutes ago in town–apparently one of the bars caught fire. Now the whole town is smoky. Could have been better–it hurts to lose a business so fast. Could have been worse–at least it’s not someone’s home. And likely nobody died in the fire.

    Good evening, tribe.

Counted up my “found” money for the year and it totaled $14.80. Taking that and a check to the SPCA tomorrow. “Found” money is all the coins and paper I find on the floor at the store or on the ground outside. It all goes into a special piggy bank and to charity at the end of the year. It’s amazing how it adds up. My Mom always loved telling me how much she found at Wal-Mart doing the weekly shopping. I’ll miss her contributions.

On another note, the city sent me a lovely Christmas Card in the form of a summons for Jury Duty every Thursday during January. That’s what I get for voting. The biggest pain is I can’t find out until Wednesday after 5 pm if I need to show up or not. That means I can’t schedule any patients on Thursdays for the month. If I don’t have to report, I can go in and try to fill the late morning and afternoon, but it’s easier to do that than to cancel a full day of people if I do have to. Oh, well, it’s only for a month. Could have been worse.

Hello Little Sister I have been very concerned for your safety. On the news reports parts of CA are asking people to leave due to all that flooding. Are you in that range?

Hello all. I’ve had two types of Jury Duty summons. I got off one but served on one made more on this then working part time. Boss wouldn’t let me off, Admin Assist envied me wished could have a chance to serve. Here in county I live at once served for one done for whole year. Federal is different. Hubby has to served not only for State but Federal not both at same time and harsher ones then me. Including the one I told you about were the one student male at technical place I was a student was the victim and I couldn’t say anything. A different one defining terms for Federal of attempted bank-robbery to a DUI.

Hello The Sojourner I hope Little Sister is doing fine. When we had that bad weather here past year we gave others concerned. Now I am concerned for those people including Little Sister as well.

You ready for Christmas? We are here will be preparing a chicken and veggie soup starting for Friday. Then go to my mom’s to help her with cleaning then chocolate pie with nuts. (darn me and chocolate my body doesn’t like called alergic not fatal though)

What about everyone else. I realize some are doing theirs early. We draw names in our family will have ours after we eat. Then hopefully not cringe to much family plans to drive around looking at lights. And later my family will have our own.

Hi, Little Sister. Hopefully it won’t be as bad on Saturday & give a chance for the flood waters to go down. But there’s nothing like a gloomy, rainy Christmas day. We’ll get that on Christmas Eve. We’ll be dry and pretty much cloud free on Christmas day….and considerably cooler too.

That’s great Littlo Sister news has shown areas affected. One section showed a ranch where horses are concerned water was up the men’s waste. A lot of erosions. Well time for my bed time. Good night all.

I had dinner & watched The Man Who Came To Dinner Monte Wooley is fantastic in that movie. It also stars Bette Davis and Jimmy Durante has a small part in it, mostly at the end of the movie.

I then took a neighborhood walk to see all the decorations. I can’t believe I was gone an hour. I just now popped in It Happened On 5th Avenue - another wonderfull movie.

Glad you can smile and are feeling better Little Sister I just checked in on my way to sleep to see if you were here. *: )

Good evening Santa Grog You saw two great movies, I will agree. I enjoy looking at the lights. One house has made a forest of green lighted trees which is attractive and a bit different.

    Nite, Kab

Hi, HopeandJoy. Seeing all greens or all reds or blues is highly unusual these days. I see more all-whites which I can only describe as boring.

That being said I did see a home that decorated their tree with whites at the trunk and all greens on the branches. Nice. I also saw a home that had green and reds - something I haven’t seen in a very long time.

We have a garland around our door and the tiny multi-colored lights in it and extending out over three bushes on each side. It may be old-fashioned but we like it.

Several homes on the next block are having a competition I think on how much they can decorate their houses and put in their lawns. It is as bright as noontime there but fun to see!

HopeandandJoy there are a couple homes on the other side of our developement that are doing the same thing some with home and grounds decorated in non-energy-efficient white C9s. Not quite as bright as Tim the Toolman Taylor’s Christmas lights, but pretty hard on the eyes, never-the-less. It’s just too bright for my liking. Homes decorated in multi-colors were much easier on my eyes.
