Good morning Tribe. I didn’t sleep in, I had to go to church. But I”m back now and will probably crash in the next hour or so.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. It was pretty quiet here, I made a turkey and stuffing and sweet potatoes, and then went out to the Dragon to play Scrabble. There were four of us, and I managed to tie with my friend who plays really, really, REALLY well. After that I came home and watched the Dr Who Christmas Special with my hubby. The show was good.

We’re still forcasting snow showers here. There may have been a few ice pellets in the light rain, but no snow yet.

Good morning after Christmas everyone. Little Sister you should be getting excited about seeing your grades. I know it’s torture waiting.

GA was great. Though my special day is getting closer when I turn older.

We sorta had a white Christmas here ground not white from yesterday. Small white snow you could walk around in didn’t last long. Our day was full and I had a hard time getting to sleep from all the excitment. Question since I don’t live in the area’s I read about Boxing Day what does one do on this day?

I okay I don’t want to go back to past comments and I had it saved elsewhere but now gone from past computer gliches about different formats one can use on comment section. I think some have mention off of Pibgorn but also due to creator no longer taking comments from that strip, where does one get access to different ways to use sembles in comments like hearts Little Sister uses or I believe clubs Lonewolf uses by their online name? I am getting a little use to using at times # * multiple times but don’t know where symbols to insert come from?

I wondered when referring to Boxing Day ment like going in a ring to box. So what people in other countries refer to Boxing Day is almost like Black Friday here for big sales at different stores. Where participating stores mark prices down more to get rid of inventory.

Thanks* Santa Grog* for what Boxing Day means. Shoppers who like big bargins spends on what is left over. So if one doesn’t have the type of money to spend best time to go. Is this like when BB is having an electronic sale some big ticket item is coming and crowds can’t wait to buy and wait in loong lines for.

Kab, Boxing Day is actually British in origin. Canada still maintains some of those traditions & Holidays.

However, that really wasn’t the meaning of Boxing Day, but more what some people tend to do on Boxing Day. In Britain, it is a tradition for someone in authority to change places with one of his subordinates.

They did that change during WWII also, Grog!

I don’t know if it’s just my computer (PC) or what but the alt key doesn’t work for me. I have sticky keys on etc. to make it easier to use my computer with one finger. I use the character map program and save names, etc. in a clipboard program I have that I have set to store 1,000 things. It’s lets you copy and paste as usuall or paste any thing you have saved. I have all names for GoComics in it so it’s easy to add names in bold etc. The only problem is it slows me down when a lot of people change their names a lot at the same time as I have to add those to my list. I’m getting able to make those changes a lot faster now so that isn’t a bother now.

Really I get nothing when the Num Lock is on.

Who knows Maybe my sticky keys are on.

It does work when I turn the Num Lock off. However I need it on and use the other programs that make it easy that way. It’s good to know what to do though.

♥Little Sister♥ - Changing names is okay. It just slows me down when a lot of people are doing it a lot. As long as I can keep track of who everyone is, it does add to the atmosphere here! :-)

Good afternoon, Tribe.

Well, Friday the weather guys said we might get some snow showers today with an inch or two accumulation. Yesterday, they said we might get 3-5 inches. 3 hours ago, I measured a foot in the back yard and it’s still coming down. Anyone have a snow blower I can borrow or do I have to find the snow shovel in the back of the shed?

Services were cancelled at church since there was already about 5 inches at 7 this morning. I’m waiting for a call from work saying the office is closed tomorrow. Can’t imagine I’ll be able to dig out and get there.

I convinced Moxie to go out and potty at 1, but she’ll need to go again. That means I’ll need to suit up again and stomp the snow down for her.

I believe Boxing Day is traditionally the day people would fill boxes with food, money, clothes, and other gifts for the poor and deliver them. It is also the day given to the servants to have off to celebrate Christmas.

♠Lonewolf♠, I’ve been busy watching the Raiders/Colts and the Giants/Packers. The Raiders game is now at the half.

Now (5:15 pm EST) up to 15 inches and still snowing, but not as hard. Blowing a lot though. Took a few pics today, will try to get more tomorrow when the sun is out.

And the Packers are back in front. If they win, they can knock the Giants out of the playoffs. :-)

KC already knocked Oakland out by winning earlier. :-(

♠Lonewolf♠, the playoff picture is a muddled mess - particularly for the NFC. As it stands now, if the Packers win next week, they are in, no matter what the Giants do against the Dedskins. Only the Bears, Falcons and Eages have clinched playoff spots with their Division titles. Everything else is pretty much wide open for the Saints, Giants, Packers & Bucs, who are the only ones left in the hunt for a wild card. There can be only two wild cards.

The winner of the Rams/Seahawks game wins the west.

The AFC picture is much clearer. Indy needs to win or Jackosnville needs to lose for Indy to win the division title. All the other playoff spots are accounted for.

I could of course make up new names for each of you and address you by them. (Ummm………. I sometimes do that anyway.)

I used to type over 50 wpm without any mistakes. It takes me longer to post now. Name changes are one thing that slows me down but that’s my problem and I’m getting better at it. It’s mostly frustrating to take so long to make a post. Halloween was hard for me because almost everyone was changing names a lot. What takes me a little longer though is a lot of fun for a lot of others. In many ways I can enjoy their enjoyment thus offsetting the time it takes me to keep up. I am certainly not complaining, just stating something that I deal with and probably shouldn’t of said anything. Have fun! I enjoy it to! :-)
