I got sent home from work because it started raining.

Our disturbance is due to start this afternoon or evening–though I think we are south of the storm center–and go through Friday.

Looks like a bad week for weather just about everywhere.

I just finished my toon tour and I have to go run some errands. Why does real life always have to get in my way?

We just picked up a new dog. A pretty black Lab that the owners were neglecting and abusing. She is really a sweet dog but everytime I want to get dressed I have to go on a hunt for my shoes. She doesn’t chew them but she is forever hiding them.

bmonk - I’m watching a 24 lecture series on The Cathedral. The first 5 lectures were on pre-gothic and the rest are all on the gothic style. It explanes their origins, how they evolved, the construction, symbolism, etc. with a lot of photos. Very interesting.

Sounds fascinating.

HopeandJoy, I wasn’t expecting Monkey 2. She had her birthday party on the 18th. I am afraid between her birthday and Christmas and just because. I have gone a wee bit overboard this past year. (She has enough presents for a small army.)

Even so, everybody thinks they need to play with my scythe.

Sojo, rain is typical. Dark and light are typical. That other stuff, not so much.

Ooops! - Hail and snow about the same time wouldn’t be typical!

Hi to bmonk Sojo We had mist in late a.m. then sun and warm enough Golferman thought he could hit a bucket of balls (45 is warm?) Your program DOES sound interesting, Sojo Sounds like some seminar material I have been exposed to.

♪HopeandJoy♫ - When I got up it was overcast and misting. It still is, with wind to almost 25 mph and in mid-40s. It’s a good day to be inside with coffee, tea or something, Each lecture is 30 min. long so I’ll watch a few then probably read.

Yes, today is Monkey 2’s birthday, Monkey 1’s birthday was the 22nd. She just turned twenty, she reminded me I changed her diapers and am therefore old. I love my Monkeys.

I have decided that since I don’t like the number four (it is evil) and am not found of even numbers, I shall just skip all of those ages.

HopeandJoy, when her boyfriend broke up with her, I took her for therapy shopping. (We are not very good at it.) We finally found a book that was a bunch of I hate ……… sentences. It made her smile.

Ooops! we’ve tried to put stuff up out of the dog’s reach [we thought] but it didn’t help a whole lot. I think she can climb like a cat. She always taking and hiding something [shoes, clothes, towels, equipment for the fish tank, whatever she can get hold of] This is only her third day here. Oh well, I guess we’ll get used to it or she’ll outgrow it. She’s really just a big puppy, very cute and lovable and cuddly.

By the way, did someone really HAVE to order the cold weather back? It’s not snowing [at the moment] but it is dark, dreary and chilly. AKA cold. I want to hibernate.

@serenasakitty, bears and guinea pigs hibernate. Not kitties.

But I’d also like to hibernate….and I’m not even getting snow.

bmonk I think in my next life I should come back as a bear and hibernate through all this nonsense. Then again, with my luck, I’d be a polar bear and they don’t hibernate.

Hmmm. There’s a stretch Limo sitting outside one of my neighbor’s house. Someone’s going out in style this miserable night.

Oh, I thought if she was just hiding shoes (without ruining them), they may bring bad memories. Well, in that case, sorry about your stuff but….. Yay!!!

The monkeys and I are fairly sure people used to hibernate. It is unnatural for us to spend so much time awake during the winter. Therefore, we should try to sleep a minimum of twelve hours a day.

Grog Several years ago we gave the kids an early Christmas present of a stretch limo ride to Kansas City’s Plaza to see the Christmas Lights and out to Longview Farm by Lee’s Summit for more. It was fun and a different sort of present. We ate at McDonalds and also had Pizza! I can still hear all the laughter and silliness!!

serenasakitty thank you in advance. I will soon be off I need to clean up and tomorrow I bid my current age adue and for my last 4 hours for the year adue since I’m off Friday. Seems strange to saying all that with new year fast approaching. And wouldn’t we know it here warm for my last day then my big day cold with a chance of rain then snow. Weather forecaster says not much very lite on snow. I realize most of you will be watching your dare I say this ###fFOOTBALL### me I will watch New years parade and have to get used to 2011. I had a busy afternoon setting up packets for interviews and I don’t call anyone. I just do drugery work and now I am behind on files as the years is almost over. Lonewolf I hope you start to feel better what a bad way to start a new year feeling yucky.
