Today I start a new adventure to go along with my automotive repair here at the house. It means I will be scarce during the weekdays. But it also should be more profitable. It is experimental right now, so certain things may change. :^)

Too late as usual but I can understand. I am on count down myself spring class starts 13th. I received; campus been closed for Christmas and New Year’s break a birthday greating from them on line. My time came and went. Taking last year two subjects about ruined my thinking. I need to also concentrate on cc. I hope in future can take two subjects if I can servive this. Most subjects if I get a C I will be happy. ♠Lonewolf♠ I too wish your new way works out. Local schools first day back today and weather is great though cold 27° so far no chance of snow great for driving.

Doctor Toon how long have you worked part time 3rd shift at same place? Me dept I work at 8 years too long trying for a different position not likely. In future I hope higher education works.

Grog What kind of cards do you play or like? (Not sure when I will read this)

Hopeandjoy♫, Poker, cribbage, gin (though it’s been a long time) and a game I played a lot in my youth called 31.

No alcohol involved but lots of coffee, juice and soft drinks Doc Generally a peaceful environment. Anger is not pleasant. *:^)

We played Whist once when our friends from England came over. (It is the forerunner of Bridge, I am told. ) We play duplicate bridge which may account for the more even tempers because everyone plays the same cards at their position….of course, some play better than others.

Our attitude is to be competitive but it IS only a game and we all make mistakes from time to time. Its worked for 25 years.

Doc everyone puts in 41¢ and everyone goes home with money…even if it is pennies. $1.00 is tops!! Heavy gamblin’ (.50¢ 2nd, 4 dimes=3rd, 6 nickles=4th, 2 dimes=5th and ties are easily solved by combining groups of monies.)

GrogGolferman and I love cribbage. We don’t do much poker except between the two of us…Blackjack. I’ve played different Rummies and Hearts.

We do a lot of Scrabble and there is a word game called Balderdash which is a riot. I like word-type games.

Time to do more “stuff”! later.

I think I decided that gambling was stupid when I was a little kid and saw my older relatives and some of their friends (they had been drinking) playing Indian Poker and taking it seriously.

Being blonde it took me a while but now I know! The speaker button is great for when you are on hold and would rather be doing other things. It is also very good for listening to instructions on those mendasock push-this-button menus. Wow! You would not believe how much less annoying it is to call in Gma’s something like twelve prescriptions.

Hello Ooops! - I finally learned how to put my new phone on speaker.

I played poked with the same guys for over 25 years before I moved. We played for money, but it wasn’t big money. I never lost big or won big. But we had fun. I miss playing with that bunch. I don’t think they play much if at all any more.

Almost time to call it quits

Grog We DO have a good group but that being said, frankly, I don’t like being “tied” to a certain schedule.

My preference is to call and make an arrangement spur-of-the- moment with another couple or set a date convenient for both–maybe go out to eat and return for cards or games and coffee or a glass of wine. No hassle.

I found my bluetooth! Now, I need to figure out how to set up playlists so I can choose which songs I am listening to while driving and shopping and stuff.

Sojo, thankfully there is a button labeled speaker on my phone. Things like that make me happy.

Ooops! - That’s still something I need to set up.

But Doc, it is so much fun to sing along to music only I hear. Sometimes I just use one of the earpieces in the headphones though. I do think bluetoothes are great for people who talk to themselves or have schizophrenia. Very helpful for blending in.

Oh, the speaker thing…….. I just figured that out last week. Anyone want to guess how long I could have been using it?

Sojo, both my mom’s and my bluetoothes ended up being things that pretty much set themselves up. Of course, it took me a few monthes to get around to figuring out how to use it to answer the phone, and there are features I still don’t know.

Remember, you don’t need to hear music to sing. I solved my problem of not being able to sing Silent Night well by singing it horrendously. Now, it is at least consistent and recognizable. Ummm…… also handy for getting teens to behave in public.

Hello all I won’t be on too long. I am so glad ♥Little Sister♥ grandma is in hospital just hope has hip looked at from her falling. Tuesday for me 8 hours then later not knowing what the future holds for more hours I will have to take time off without pay, durn. I don’t play cards, though when I was a kid like my sister was introduced to pitch I think was the name been too long ago.
