HopeandJoy, I don’t think this is the answer you are looking for but the green HOME button on the top left side (sort of) takes you to your home page with all your comics on it.

Hopeandjoy♫, I have links to all my favorite comics on my persoanl internet provider home page in addtion to news & sports headlines from various sources & strange news. Also have link to famous birthdays and other things on this day on history.

Ooops Yes, I do get to my home page alright but usually I just find a copy of my favorite there But Sometimes All my pre-selected comics come up and I scroll down easily and away I go. My problem is when this happens, I can’t recall what I did to get them. I will just have to keep track of what I am doing better, I guess. *: )

Grog I used to do that before Go Comics but now I just come to them. I have my sports individually on my desktop.

Grog - I know you posted the menu. Sometimes it doesn’t matter who posts it though Maybe I missed you making a joke of it being you or maybe someone did flag it because you posted it. I think mine from the other day was deleted. :-)

Sojo That may be the trick that works. Think I will nap after an exhausting morning with my older sister who has staph in a spider bite on her leg….doesn’t listen to instructions well and gets confused with what is happening, where, when, how, because she doesn’t look at what has been written down about her care. ARRRRRR. Her son from Washington DC will fly here Tuesday (if he can dodge the snow) That will help!!!

You can log in, and often get dumped into your home page, or else returned to the comic you logged in from.

“Home” (when logged in) will get you a banner with the updated comics across the top of the page

What I did is bookmark (favorite) the comics I read regularly, in the form “http:\/\/www.gocomics.com\/bigtop” and then put all the bookmarks into a single folder on the bookmark menu. Then I can go right to the comic I want. Of course, when you have more comics, you may want another, more efficient, method.

I didn’t realize that, Sojourner. I thought the menus had stopped disappearing. I only noticed today, because I knew we were at 52 comments at one point and it dropped to 51 when I refreshed. I guess I’ve been to preoccupied to notice before.

Grog - I noticed one dissapering in the afternoon earlier this week.

I think the menus had stopped disappearing. My guess is that they were taken out again today and there was some back tracking. Poor HopeandJoy, they missed her menu.

I am glad you still have electricity. You could use fans to circulate the warm air from the fire throughout the house if for some reason your heating system wasn’t working? And doesn’t everyone want a woodbox with wheels? Yup! How come people don’t put wheels on woodboxes? They could put brakes on too, if they were worried.

Hi, bmonk! - My hubby had to drive in it, but he didn’t have any problems, other than he’s not very patient following someone driving 15 mph. Ooops! - Our wood stove is on the 2nd floor, and we have no elevator. Wheels tend to go thump, thump on the stairs. Our heating system has always worked as long as there is electricity. The a/c has had problems with the coolant or compressor, but the heat’s been fine.

@Rmom, love the mental image of the cart going up the stairs.

However, you just need the right-shaped (and size) of wheels.

Wait–then you’d need a properly shaped track to use the wheels on the flat…

Nevermind.

bmonk - Believe me, more than once I’ve thought of building a track to put on the stairs to make it a ramp. All we’d need then is to figure out where to attach a “come-a-long” to hoist the wheeled object up the steep ramp.

If it wasn’t so cold out, it might be easier to build a hoist to swing out a window.

bmonk - Don’t want that cold air in here! Our casement windows do limit the size of what can be hauled through a window, too. At least I designed the staircase to be four feet wide, so that helps. I am thinking that if we don’t move away in the next few years, I’m going to have to install a chair lift or something for those days that my knees won’t cooperate.

I worked on run-ons have two left. Very difficult. I even read out loud. I have paragraph on hold thankfully not on timer. I plan to go back later. I googled run-ons I need to practice on stories with comas. On a different strip someone mentioned reading children’s books. Each word I select and wrong counts against on tests.

I almost for got to mention. Those symbols that was brought up I saved on word on my computer. I finally got to use ° on a workorder. A workorder is for maintenace gets, recorded on spreadsheet, then on Friday’s sent to certain dept heads. Maintenace has a document that records repairs accounts fo their time working on facility/building, grounds. Different depts at different locations has different person to record. This is a hugh dept over 4,000 employed in different sections. There are also hiring freezes HR has issued and any postions has to be justified to be filed.

It can’t be pizza night! I made vegetable soup. I am very sorry but you will all have to eat something else tonight.

Sister Kab, I have notice that run on sentences and sentence fragments are tremendously popular in books. Sometimes it amazes me that it costs millions of dollars to get a book by a well known author out to the public………. and yet no one can be bothered to edit the sentence structure.

I left briefly. For some reason GC is acting very strange. Instuctor also plans to get me some information I can look up on internet. Also informed me I have until May to get lab done. I hope to have done long before then for students will have writing as well. The book isn’t too much help.

I would have to check out library for children’s books. All my adult kids little children’s books I sold ages ago not knowing this would happen. I understand e-books on line can help. Not sure what that would cost. I am going to relax for a while. Study for Saturday. I still have run-on test hanging. Literally.
