    Good Afternoon!

Especially: Sojo, Grog, Steelblade, & Plods with Beer!!!

If I may–I’m getting tired of Funeral Luncheon food, although they were pretty good for the genre–I will request:

Fajita (Chicken) Melt corn on the cob Doc’s World Famous Nuclear Coffee Chardonnay (one glass) V8 vegetable juice.

    DESSERT: none, thank you.

(I’m sure that Wink will eat whatever I don’t get to.)

The roads were pretty good–compacted snow runs between the wheel tracks, with only a bit of ground drifting. No ice, which can get ugly.

But it was -20°F according to the Funeral director’s car thermometer. (NOAA thinks it’s -9 °F (-23 °C) at the moment). In any case, it was a bit nippy at the graveside–so I cut it to the bare minimum and did most of it inside.

    Meh. I’ve felt worse.

I would prefer the cold temps to the snow. It’s much easier to drive through or walk through. I just walked faster in Montreal when it was cold. It’s pretty hard to walk fast on snowy or icy surfaces though.

I guess I still haven’t lost the kid in me yet when it comes to snow. I like to watch it fall from the sky and see when the snow is first on the ground in the morning before it is walked or driven on. I like to play with my kids in the snow and to watch other kids playing in it, too. And driving or walking in it doesn’t phase me. Heck, I work on cars in the winter and have to push “dead” cars in and out of the shop when there is snow on the ground. I still like it. Cold “hurts” the body as you get older and no, I don’t like ice on the ground.

I don’t go downtown to the big city of Chicago much at all. It’s not nearly as bad here in the smaller suburbs. They usually clean the walkways before it is all trampled into slush.

Good bitter evening everyone. We dodge sorta a freezing misty from this morning. Now blowing wind and snow but streets are cleared. *♫Hopeandjoy♪ thank you for a very nice flowers. Are those tulips? Nice reminder of what is forthcoming this spring. After being home for awhile and a surprise. Local police office came asking if we knew our neighbor next to us north had been robbed. I was surprised. I told the officer before I left close to 5:25 there was a mini dark blue van. A woman in the driver seat. I told him I thought it was business. Not so sure now. Both couples work and I didn’t know if the hubby was home or not. Imagine during the day time. Wow.

Hi, tribe! Just thought I’d pop in for a short visit. We had class tonight, thankfully, the roads weren’t bad - yet. We missed out on most of the ice, so I’m more hopeful about keeping power & internet. It will be interesting to see what happens overnight.

I won’t be on too long myself. Just finished another test for English. There is one for each unit of English terms. I think I might be okay for Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement. I’ve evan asked my daughter to help at times. We make a fairly good team. Plus I have asked a couple of ladies who knowns English. I do the work and they help me understand better. I wonder how ♥Little Sister♥ is doing on classes. For one paragraph I have asked instructor for Feburary there is a womens fair coming local convention. I will be helping at the booth for two days selling a product. I thought be good for describing the product and selling. Good night all.

Lonewolf I was almost ready to end and try to study some on English. I am making headways until the final tests. Oh please I don’t want to take this class over. There I feel better. You were talking about how much fun you have in the snow. That is great. Playing in the snow with your children. I hope you also made snowmen, angels. For me though I would be freezing. You kinda gave me an idea if this comes up for an English topic not sure though. At least your topic is better then C&H did.

Lonewolf Some of the most fun I had was when one of my brothers attached an old car seat( with metal on its underside) to the back of a lawn-type tractor and it was turned into a motorized sled for us. Chug-chug-Putt-putt

I remember when I was around 20 years old. A friend had a horse we tied a sled to with a rope. Had to hang on to the sled hard as the horse went from standing to a full gallop almost instantly. Stopping was a problem also as there was only about 5 feet of rope from the horse to the sled.

“I hate the Energizer Bunny commercials, and I hate them with a passion. It’s driving me insane, and it is annoying. I’m sure that I’m not the only one who feels this way. You can’t fool me with your lame battery commercials on television. You want to drive innocent people like me insane and steal from our pockets. Okay fine! So you have plans on dominating the market and the economy, but that’s only a cover up for your real goal,( Total World Domination ) isn’t it. Deny it all you want, I’m through being brainwashed by you. I don’t care what the POCTSA (Prevention Of Cruelty To Stuffed Animals) says……….”
