Good morning, Everyone……it is chilly 4 degrees now, and a gentle snow. Could keep up until tomorrow night. Have a few errands to run this a.m., then we can crank up the wood stove and be warm and toasty.

HopeandJoy…..enjoyed our dinner. I froze a bunch of roasted pork into single serving size baggies, so it was a no brainer to cook. The rice took the longest. Loved your idea of the drizzle of mushroom soup (added more mushrooms)

Hi, Doc! Wouldn’t you know I couldn’t resist trying to change my avatar? Duh! Oh, well. Weather here has been all over the place. 70’s this week, negative teens last week, possibly a “few snow showers” coming on Monday.

I’ll wait before I change my avatar. I’m not planning to do it until March. Hopefully, things will have been fixed by then.

Meanwhile, in the armpit of the universe, it is77F and mostly sunny. I’m in a housedress i/o my turtleneck and sweatpants. I’ll probably dress lightly when I go out to the Dragon in a little bit. BBC America is having a Being Human marathon leading up to the season premiere. That’s what I like about cable stations, they have stuff premiering every month or so, i/o September and February.

No, it doesn’t look like it. The sun is shinig but it is COLD [-25C] and there is still a lot of snow. We still have no furnace so it’s back to hibernation for me.

Wow, Serenasakitty Is it a two dog day? I think you would be -10°F or more. Without the furnace, do you drain you water pipes to keep them from freezing?….or what. I think Quaby is in the East and is enjoying the lovely weather we had a couple of days ago (sigh) You will need to pile on 3 puppies in your bed tonight to keep you cozy.

Quaby makes the best butterscotch pudding. I tried making some earlier this week, the fire department was not impressed.

You want to be really careful when you are cooking with scotch.

Depends upon how much you might like to play with fire.

Some people also don’t seem to appreciate it when you give them a reason to redo their kitchen.

Hello all I didn’t have time this morning to get on. Sister didn’t show up until 45 mins after me. Got warm today. At the women’s fair was very busy. Good news though the flavor I asked about hickory small size sold out. Jalapeno was asked about. My sister kept joking I couldn’t quit her. Then midway about 1 pm today their cashregister electronic’s acted up. Counting up money for customer’s was rough. Then she figured with talking to hubby to change way of recording on the cash register. Yea worked.

I feel better I’m not the only one having trough with GC. Today or this evening very slow.

My husband and I play to beat the board and at end if there is a need for help we help each other find words for remaining few letters….not very competitive but still fun. We have Scrabble tournaments to help raise money for literacy and they are played according to rules.

I play to win. If I don’t win, then I want a rematch. If I don’t win that, then I gracefully congratulate the winner.

We play to win also at tournaments and in card games.
