Thanks to Lew, Grog, Doc, Kab,and Little Sis for your warm Birthday wishes…….Lew, I think I passed 29 a LLLLOOOONNNNNGGGGG time ago! And, what a cake, Kab……soooooooo pretty!
I think if we were gong back through time, we’d also be antimatter. As I recall, someone won a Nobel Prize in Physics for demonstrating something consistent with such a thing (the positron’s path is the same as an electron’s would be if the electron were going back through time).
GOOD AFTERNOON, YAPPY NUTS, AND CONGRATULATIONS TO MONTANA LADY ON PASSING ANOTHER REVOLUTION OF THE SOLAR YEAR!
Good evening all. I plan on watching that prime time with Diane Sawyer about the young girl who was kidnapped and law enforcement failed her. Should be interesting why the system failed a young lady.
We were supposed to have rain today and it was supposed to last everyday til Thursday. No rain today and tomorrow’s new forecast is dry also. Now we are looking at possibly one day with precipitation.
Hmmmm….. Forgot about resizing the picture, guess I just got too excited about my chocolate cake. Hello Peoples! Our high today was 78°, it isn’t too bad after those temperatures way up in the mid-eighties (I guess).
I am beginning to think you people are all nutz with your poisonous snakes, high temperatures above 90°, low temperatures below 20°, tornados, hurricanes, avalanches, earthquakes, big craters, six lane freeways, etc.
Hi Sojo,I hope you are keeping cool and hydrated. Me…. I wpuld probably make sure my insurance covered water damage and spend my time in the bathtub with a computer across my lap. (shhh! don’t tell)
LuvH8: Weren’t you listening to the Bronx Zoo’s Cobra twitter site? Snakes are Venomous, not poisonous. C’mon, get it right! :) Here in Darkest Saskatchewan, it’s not too hot today, but it is windy, with what Youngest son refers to as spit and run showers. No venomous snakes where I live, but in the Grasslands National Park south of me, there are rattle snakes. We also get the occasional tornado, and the temperature can range from 105ºF in summer to -48ºF in winter.
Hey! It doesn’t have to be plugged in….. maybe if I figure out where or how to get the keyboard up on the screen? I know how to do it with my dad’s desktop. Then I can do the whole computer by remote mouse.
Wow! I am being blown away with all your good wishes!
Big Thank You’s go to LoneWolf, Alain, Sir Lew, LuvH8, ans Saskfan!!! Big hugs to all of you!!!! (now My Mountain Man can “trade” me in for a 33 and a 34!)
We got up to 81 today……absolutely gorgeous! Took my walk early so it would get too hot, and now, My Mountain Man is getting the BBQ ready for a very nice thick juicy steak…..yum!!!
Then, a very special bottle of wine and S’mores around the campfire should round out the evening!!
Venomous? Poisonous? What does it matter?!?!?Either way it is a Very Painful Death by a very slithery, icky, creature! I’d rather die by spider bite.. One of my daughter’s friends asked me why I was so afraid of snakes. I told her it was because God said all females are supposed to be afraid of snakes……. (they laughed at me)
Hi again. I hope your big day was the best ever Montana LadyLuvH8 I thought that picture of the kitten was just toooo cute. [Does that get me a cookie even if it isn’t my birthday?]Hi to Saskfan, Lonewolf, Sojourner, Doc and everyone else.
Luv – We don’t have hurricanes or avalanches (unless you count what happens when I open the refrigerator…) here in KS. Really rare to get an earthquake, and the only one I felt shook the house less than a windy day. We don’t have too many big craters, I’m not sure we’ve got any, but I’d have to google that. Thankfully the copperhead isn’t aggressive, but I do know I’d better look where I walk. They are usually more apt to hide under a rock, so just don’t pick up rocks without thick, long leather gloves. There is a reason cowboys wear tall leather boots, you know. I’m not crazy about the weather, but it always gives someone something to talk about, and keeps life from being boring.
Like I just found out that today’s temp of 111°F was a record high for Wichita for July 10th. Wichita has never (since 1888) been hotter than 114°F, but the summer isn’t over yet. 1980 was a brutally hot year, and today’s temp broke the record set that year. At least this time, we’ve got central a/c. In 1980, I didn’t even have a window a/c in my apartment. (Thankfully, I worked noon to 9pm in an air conditioned office.) 1936 was another unusually hot year.
At least the neighbors at my hubby’s trailer are “adopting” his tomato plants when he’s not around. He had asked a co-worker, but I think the neighbors do a better job, and it is less inconvenient for them.
Good Night Rmom,I know here at least they suggest watering things around sundown or a little later if you can, I guess it gives shallow rooted plants more time to absorb water. Of course, I don’t like mowing the lawn, so I don’t water it. Doesn’t work with grass or kids, they just keep growing.
Had a LOVELY BBQ for B’day dinner…….and a nice rib eye steak……..haven’t allowed myself the pleasure in years!!!!!
Wow, again, you folks make me feel so good…..thanks to Serena and R Mom. and, thanks to Luv for the cookie for desert…..wow….it was one of those really big ones, too. :))))
Good night everyone about time for bed. Montana Lady glad you enjoyed your birthday today. Hope it turned everything you dreamed of. I do not like snakes myself.Just finished watching sad Dugard story of her kidnapping and enduring while so many enept law enforcement failed.
The really bad part is I can see myself in a marshmallow flinging for distance contest with the kids. Probably a good thing I don’t have any kids tonight.
