LuvH8 Looks yummy as usual. I’ll have a strawberry shortcake during a heat wave in July, please. Er, where do you pick strawberries in a heat wave in July? Does God know what you are doing?. I believe a tragedy or two has been written about upsetting the natural order of thing. Jesus, Maria, y todos los Santos! The Red Sox are 3 games ahead of the Yankees! There are signs in the sky.Speaking of doom and destruction, I printed a shirt that says “Hartford loves the Red Sox” and plan to wear it today to a meeting of homeless shelters. If I survive, I’ll tell you of the smiles I brought to people’s faces.

Following their family tradition the groom pushed the bride around in a wheelbarrow then the bride did the same to the groom (running of course). Young people can do that.

You know TRIBE, though I love each and every one of you, I can’t understand your moaning and groaning about the heat.Think 95 degrees. Now think 5 degrees. I live in New England so we get both. At 95 I can dress in next to nothing, hold my gut in, and look at sweet young things dressed in next to nothing. I may pass out thinking how I used to be able to sweet talk those sweet young things, but never pass out from the heat. At 5 degrees people are dressed up as round balls and you can’t tell their species, much less there gender. I’m liable to slip on the ice and pass out from hitting my noggin.

    Good evening, Tribe

Lewreader, I can’t agree with you more. I loved summer in Montreal for just that reason. I always loved seeing the girls wearing the very least they could wear. But now weather in the 50’sin Houston is almost as bad as Montreal in January in the minus column.

But there are some people out there who have thick skins.

Sir Lew – We also have extremes here.

For my neighborhood, the high this year was 110.6 °F & the low temperature was -17.7 °F. Wichita has had 30 days this summer of 100+ temps. (Actual, not the heat index.) We normally get about 10 a year of those.
