Well, our rain event is all gone. It was raining here overnight.Woke me up twice. The second time I stayed up. It rained pretty much until sun-up and then was gone. At least they were good and steady rains.

I here the storm was pretty much a non-event when it made landfall I understand people will be spending some time on the beach today.

I thought hurricane season started July 1 (officially).

Quite right. bmonk, and ends Nov. 30. But by Oct 31, I’m breathing a sigh of relief. There hasn’t been anything menacing in the Gulf after mid-October since I’ve been here. My guess if there is were to be anything in the Gulf, it wouldn’t pack much punch.

Of course, the official start (and end) don’t really matter so much as when the first storm shows up.I recall we once had tornadoes around here in November—and they were heading NW!

With my in-laws in FL, I try to watch the hurricane forecast during the season. They might escape to KS, if they think it will get them. Tornadoes can happen in any month, I think we had a tornado warning in January this year.

Just reached 100° here. Took awhile today.

I wasn’t sure if it would today as it was cooler earlier and not climbing much. I think this makes 34 days this year of at least 100°.

That seems to be a broken record for here. :-)

It’s only supposed to be 94 here today. The temperature will slowly increase to the triple digits during the week.

Hello all. Thank you Big Sister. Wow and still wow. Surgery for my mom went fairly well. My haed is still whirling the past 24 horus. Not gonna worry on spell check. Taking a much needed breather. Hoping to find out about cancer results next week. Spent night with my mom what an experience. Went from bad to worse. Still need more good thoughts and deep praying from God almight. She took a tumble from hospital bed 2:40am this moring. I had extrem amoung of trouble getting her to stay down. She is now in MICU same hospital. Oxygen in her system is down, not eatting great, and how has pnemounia. I am not sure what I will be doing on class. We sister and it are feeding her. She is not herself.

My sister is with her now taking her turn with out mom. Not sure how long she will be in MICU. Got home at 4am had a hard time sleeping. After early church will be going up there. Mom is still crisis time. I have missed a lot of toons cannot be helped.

Sorry to hear the news ♥Kab♥. I’ll keep your mom and all of you in my prayers. Thanks for letting us know how things are going.

Sounds like you have your hands full Sister Kab, it is extremely difficult to deal with people who are not acting like themselves under any circumstances. Combined with her medical problems and it is sure to be overwhelming. Just remember no one expects you to be perfect.

Hey all thanks. The border dementia has advance more. She thinks she is at home now, but not. Be going everyday for sure to Wesley. We are hoping the demntia does slow down. Sister and I have told family she is there but not the same person. She can not stand to be covered. She is not like herself. So as time goes hopes this change. Yes I agree this anesthisia could be a big contriubter. Mom has become a pin cusion. Sorry hard to think right on spelling. Try later on update. On the doctor did say that too much estrigin may have caused this cancer that was causing her bleeding. The good news is bleeding will be ceasing. The bruises will continue. Until next time. Watching TV and just relaxing. Hard to concentrate on reading.
