I always had to pick the chunks of bacon stuff out, they were icky.

But that’s what give them flavor.

Otherwise they’d be nothing but boring yucky old beans….and beans need all the help they can get.

Maybe green beans should be cooked in bacon grease and sprinkled with bacon bits before serving. Bacon makes everyithing better.

I don’t think I have ever seen it written down, it is the kind of dish that shows up at potlucks and such.

My mother grew green beans in her vegetable garden, unfortunately. I think they were the only vegetable that really grew well. Come the harvest we had them every day for dinner. (Shudder). I still hate ’em to this day.

Potlucks are very strange things, nobody wants to bring the same dish as anyone else. So…….

Yesterday’s Hagar was good. Helga described “pot luck” as something as you’ll be lucky there’ll be anything left for Hagar.

Green Beans for three hungry people (or five polite people): sauté a teaspoon or two of mustard seed in butter in a frying pan until it starts to pop, then add green beans and a little bit of water, cover and steam the beans lightly. Be sure you cover the pan, or you’ll have mustard ALLLLLLLLLL over the kitchen.

Donkey Hotey – I like about everything. What I’ve have had that I won’t try again I won’t mention (to not make others sick or show my stupidity).

Fresh green beans straight from the garden is my favorite way to eat them. I would go steal them out of the garden as a child, especially if I knew I wasn’t gonna like dinner.

You will find that we all have our differences but we all manage to get along here. I can’t stand chocolate, but I think I may be alone in that dislike. It doesn’t stop me from showing up at all.

I, as a rule, don’t like legumes, but I love corn, brocolli, cauliflaur, carrots, peppers, lettuce & cellery. I love pork but can take or leave beef. I love salmon, but am indifferent to most other types of fish. I will not even look at sushi.

Grog – I watched less then half of the Chiefs game and then couldn’t stand to watch anymore. Boy were they bad. 5 penilties for 55 yards in a little past the first quarter.

Sojo, I saw that score. What’s with the Chefs this year?

The Raiders are looking good so far this year. They’re still in a battle with Buffalo though. Close, but high scoring game.

Are the Lions that good – or the Chiefs that bad?

Considering with with pre-season games the Chiefs have lost all their games by a lot I’d say their that bad.

I like frozen or fresh peas. Canned are blechy!!! I never ate enough lima beans to care, they are okay.Brussel sprouts are icky, unless I am craving them.

I see why Foo Ball watching involves drinking blechy beer for many, the only way you can watch it is under sedation.

In the first two games of the season the Chiefs have been outscored 89 – 10.

FOOTBALL: Explain to me why I would want to toss a filthy barnyard animal that likes to wallow around in the mud. It doesn’t make any sense and it’s kind of gross.

I will never understand this phenomenon you call football.

Because it’s been cleaned up and is fun! Actually I don’t care much for it either but a couple of teams I like to watch (except KC this year). I prefere Union Rugby!

I also don’t get much to watch if I watch TV as I only get over the air channels.

Hello all what a busy two days. I got real late. Saturday Argri culture changed the way we had to do things. When one has a display, cart, product, and cash register stolen from a business hauler at night makes it bad. This happened last year to them. The law will not touch the thiefs who did this. I also made a mistake had chocolate last Saturday not much either cost me sleep.

Last night when we came in seen the lightening storm come through came from OK area through KS.

I wish to say Montana Lady and SRMom I will be thinking of you both through your different ordeals of health issues.

Hmm! I’m weird! I like chocolate shakes and ice cream, but hate chocolate cakes, pudding, brownies, fudge and candy bars. Those leave an after taste in my mouth and make me crave for more. So I wont touch them.

Thunderdog – I don’t get a chance to see it much now and miss it. Rugby 5 is now with several colleges and will be in the Olymics so it will be on regular TV some so that is at least something.
