Weld shop, eh? My husband says it was incredibly hot this summer around the welders. Considering we broke a record for the number of 100° days this year, this wouldn’t have been a good summer to be a welder.

Where are you located? I’m in KS. Where my husband works they have huge fans and open garage doors trying to get airflow through the factory area. Lots of cool drinking water too.

Ah, it was pretty hot up there this year. Not as bad as us, but still hot. My husband makes business trips to Davenport occasionally, but I think the last time he went, it was snowing there.

I think I know at least what state most of the regulars here are from. We usually try to be careful about not being too specific. Sojo, Kab and I live within about an hour of each other, so we will sometimes use local terms that will make sense to us, and not everyone. Although, if asked, we’ll try to explain.

I’m not so crazy about the extremes we get here, but if there weren’t any seasonal changes, that would be boring. Although I’ve traveled most of the US, KS is home. My husband is from PA, and what he says is that he likes the scenery in PA, but the people in KS. Since he isn’t as fond of flat land as I am, but I love sunsets and being able to see a long ways away, we found some ground within commute distance that satisfies both. We’ve got lots of trees and rolling hills, and they cut off part of the hill for a railroad track, which makes a cliff the western edge of our property. That allows me a great place to view sunsets. I’ll post a link so you can look at pictures I’ve taken while standing on our place.
