I love cabbage soup, with corned beef, or sausage or hamburger. You know, we need some cabbage rolls. Next holiday we should make either Sarma, Dolma or both! I’m getting hungry again! LOL!
Not lately, Fellow Baby, but with the summer months coming soon, I’ll pick up production again. I still have a jar & a half to get through though. It won’t take me long once I get back into it.
I have a garden, got into the hobby because of my dad. I like being able to walk outside and pick what I need, love the taste of a fresh tomato from my garden, and my strawberries, asparagus, peppers, cukes, etc. And it’s so peaceful working in a garden. And you know where everything came from.
My Mom was the same way, Fellow Baby. But she liked to grow a lot of the things I didn’t like like green beens. She also loved tomatoes, but rose tomatoes. I liked over-ripe reds, but it’s become a moot point. I can no longer eat them and have to be carefull eating anything considered to be acidic.
I never heard of rose tomatoes! And I’ve been gardening for at least 35 years when I was still living at home. Tell me about them. Unless you mean the little cherry tomatoes?
What a shame you can’t eat tomatoes anymore! What about spaghetti, lasagne and thinks like that? What about low acid tomatoes?
I work with a guy who I’ve worked with for over 20 years who doesn’t like green beans either. His mom told me once the first words out of his mouth and I mean that literally, his dad was there to back her up, were “Mum, I hate green beans!” Every time our office has our Chirstmas lunch party and someone brings a green bean casserole, I razz him about that!

That angel fish has no business guilt tripping Cuddles seeing as how it’ll eventually eat all the fish smaller than it!
Hmm, those are some huge fish. For aquarium fish, anyway.

Do you plant a garden, Fellow Baby?
GROG Premium Member over 13 years ago
No I don’t, Fellow Baby. I’m one who likes green grass, hedges and a couple of trees for shade, but no more than that.
