A irregular chorus line.Good Morning Grog, Dry, sugie, StelBel, puppybreath and the rest of the CD crowd worming their way through the long weekend.*Grog** the horseradish that I used to buy was Marie’s which was always kept in the cooler section. It disappeared and was replaced by Marina which tastes exactly the same. All other horseradish tastes tame in comparison. I just went downstairs to look at the bottle and comes from Seattle. I do not know how far a distribution area they have. A friend of mine came over for dinner and I watched her spread a huge portion on her food. I said this horseradish is hot and she said, she could always tolerate the heat. She took one bite and her face went red. She said "That is HOT!** I could send you a bottle if you want, but I am not sure why it is in the cooler and the others aren’t. But it says keep refrigerated right on the bottle.

cleo, you’d think that in a State where you have every form of hot pepper imaginable stocked thier stores, you’d think they could stock a decent horseradish, rather than this wimpy horseradish sauce they seem to favor.

And if Marina must be kept refridgerated, I doubt very much I could buy it online, either.

In the strictest sense, not all of them are attached to a mall -even a strip mall, Fellow Baby although it seems that there’s a mall within with all the little shops including McD’s at the front of the store.

At any rate, I don’t expect to find the finer name brands there, but I can find things that I often can’t get at the major chains, which are usually various drinks in larger sizes. It was always impossible to find a Pepsi Cube in a Kroger for some reason and they only stock the 32oz Clamato Juice – something I drink plenty of.

I stay away from Walmart and the national chains because my wife and I like to buy as many locally made products as we can. Fortunately, we have to local grocery chains that get whatever they can from local farms, gardens, cheese makers, etc.

I think H-E-B is the closest thing to local here, but I don’t think I’ve heard them make any claims about buying local, though, I’ve heard that Walmart does as far as produce goes. At least that’s what they say.

Fellow Baby saw your comment at C&H. I know he never claimed to be Watterson but at the beginning many thought he was which I thought was totally silly. After all these years, he would show up to post at gocomics, LOL! Hope you had a good day, I keep forgetting this isn’t actually the 4th. Fireworks are going off all around this neigborhood! :-)

Lucky you, Fellow Baby. No fireworks here. Too dry in Texas for that in pretty much every county – even down here on the coast.

I tried to reserve judgement. It was easy to think so, but he did finally put an end to it….even though one or 2 might still believe he is the one and only Watterson.
