And I didn’t want to incite a riot at C & H, but being a mom is tough work, and the more kids you have the tougher it is. A stay at home mom works hard to. They do all the cleaning, cooking, washing, bill paying, errand running, are room mothers for school parties, help with homework, etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on with all the things mothers do. Some women are lazy I’ll grant you, as are some men. And with that, I will stop.
BWAHAHA, Fellow Baby, I hope you have candy corn, cuz I’ll be one of the munchkins, well, I’ll be the tall one! And if you don’t have candy corn, I am going to toilet paper your house! LOL! I doubt we get any kids this year, none in the neighborhood anymore, our friends kids are grown, my kids ages, so. I’ll EAT THE CANDY ALL BY MYSELF!
No candy corn, but I have snickers, kit-kat reeses peanut butter cups m&m’s & milky way. As I told Shika, I over heard one of the kids say that I have the best candy. I have little reason to change the mix in my smugness. So, go ahead, TP my house, Fellow Baby
I like it when the kids come in small numbers like pairs, so that you can ask them about their costumes. One of the kids came as Smurfette, but it didn’t register until she told me. One kid came as my favorite condiment – mustard. I can honestly say I’ve never seen that before. Another kid came as a fire dept captain and another came as a young-looking Castro, complete realistic looking beard. Some very interesting costumes this year.
Well, I see my morning comment did not post. I had trouble with gocomics this morning and the comment seemed to take forever to post so I went on reading my comic queue and now do not see it.
cleo, it was a little slow at times for me this morning, but not as bad as it had been. Were you using your iPad? Sometimes those things can be worse than a computer ( I say as I post on my iPad).
Well Fellow Baby that sounds like some pretty good stuff you got there! I guess I will save my toilet paper for another time, :-D!
Do you get in costume too, to greet the kids?
Sounds like some VERY INTERESTING costumes this year. Kids must either be watching the news more, or hear what their parents are saying or what the teachers are putting in their heads. Sad, kids are becoming adults too quickly these days, in so many ways. Who in our day would have dressed as Castro or knights collecting taxes?
I look forward to your answer tmr. as I am heading to sleepy land, hopefully! We didn’t have one kid in our neighborhood tonight, none of us!
Fellow Baby, I wore my Roger Stauback jersey. Of course, a few people did recognize it was a Cowboys jersey, including my neighbor to the right (who’s very little ones were my last customers), but no one knew I was Stauback. Oh well, maybe next year.
Many costume from the older ones (and yes some of the younger ones) involved a lot of thought. Loved the fireman and yes even Castro for the prep work involved. Took a lot of time to prepare, I’m sure, and I expect as much to take it all off. Best year ever, I thought, for costumes. Smurfette was cute though, and I can kick myself for not realizing that on first sight. I used to watch that show all the time about 15 years ago.
