Fellow Baby had a busy day yesterday and turned in early last night (and I’ll be going back to bed soon. Still too early) But I saw your comments.

I’m beginning to think I should just read the comic and ignore the comments at CdS. Some of them are really getting to annoy me.

Awww, the poor guys! Some kind soul should get some ice cream for them. I certainly would if I could. It’s just not fair to have everyone else eating ice cream and these two beautiful, loyal, remarkable dogs are left out. Never happens in my household!

I left messages late yesterday for Greg Trail, Cleokaya and a whole bunch of them for noicant I guess I got carried away.

Thoughts of ice cream does that to me. Especially if I consider the brownies and/or hot fudge that goes with it. Ice cream….my big weakness!

Dry Thank you for your kind words yesterday. How very sweet of you. I appreciate it. I don’t deserve it, but I really do appreciate it.

A happy tomorrow to all my sleepy eyed friends at Citizen Dog, Dry, StelBel, happy noicant, Citizen Grog, Sugie, Cleokaya, x_Tech, JP Steve, Greg Trail, Chefwen, Shickamoo, Nighthawks, Lonewolf, Plods, Serenaskitty, Good NIght, Happy Dreams to all the CD sleepy heads

If any of you have a Von’s store near you, they stock Purina Frosty Paws which is a dairy treat made especially for dogs. They are in the freezer section with other ice creams. They come in little dixie cups and will keep you pooches busy for about 10 minutes. My kids are addicted, and will love you forever. Do try.

@ ShikamooOK…I just broke this down step by step. So, do ONE step at a time. Do not look at the whole thing and panic.YOU CAN DO IT!!! (Dry and puppybreath: have you both given up????)

    1. Minimize the page that you’re on now.

    2. Start a new page.

    3. On your new page, go to photobucket.com.

    4. In the search box, enter whatever kind of graphic image you’re looking for. For instance, you could enter “yawning emoticon”. That page with different emoticons yawning, will come up.

    5. Move your cursor on the one you want. Don’t click yet. A small chart with 4 choices will appear. Left click on the fourth one down (HTML code).

    6. Now, your graphic is “copied”.

    7. Get out of the photobucket page and get back onto the comments section of the comics.

    8. Make sure your blinking cursor is where you want it in the comment.

    9. RIGHT click, and when the options come up, LEFT click on PASTE. (So, the bottom line is all you’re doing is copying and pasting!)

    10. Do not be alarmed! A bunch of code will be pasted there. You have to click on SUBMIT to submit your comment and graphic before they both appear in the comments section.

    11. If it’s not to your liking, you can always delete the whole thing. Sometimes, it’s really huge. There is a way to make it smaller, but that’s a lesson for another day…..

Note: Step #5. should read THIRD one down (HTML code). (Sorry, really didn’t feel like deleting the whole thing to correct that)

Poor old dog’s are out of the ice cream loop. We rarely buy ice cream, but we make it quite often, particularly in the summer.

Strange! Most of the comments do not have their avatars, just a litttle red x in a box. Cleo has an avatar and so does Sugie and Greg Trail, and Dry too .

But Citizen Grog, StelBel, Puppybreath (that would be me), Chefwen and happy noicant have no avatars. Heck, I don’t even have my usual anonymous outline of a head.

Oh and jgmoore has an avatar too.

Anyone know why that is? Anyone else having the same problem?

Well how about that?! I just checked back in and everyone has an avatar, except Chefwen and me, but that’s our faults I think. Gotta get that avatar thingy fixed! Wonder what was going on earlier though?

(((((StelBel))))) you are such a great guy, such a sweetie! I cut and pasted your instructions for Photobucket and I’m going to print them out in just a couple of minutes. Thank you so much!! With your help I may actually be able to do something about my technical Ignorance. We will see what happens! I am expecting something good will come of this!

    See? We never stop learning.

StelBel I GUARANTEE you will enjoy Raising Duncan and Today’s Dogg.Dogg* can be “tug at your heart strings” sometimes though. Duncan, unfortunately, is in reruns. I don’t know why the Brownes stopped doing it. Another one of my favorites that is in re=runs is Shirley and Son. In that situation the cartoonist sadly drowned at a fairly young age, I beleive 53 if memory serves. He also did GeechYou can’t possibly read any more comic strips than I do! And I have about 30 at DailyInk and a couple at Creators Syndicate I read also. I just caught up with 2 weeks worth of DailyInk that I fell behind on.

Well Shucks! I missed StelBel. You are going to bed early, it’s only about 8 pm, but I guess you are trying to reset “your internal clock” if I remember. Have a GOOD SLEEP LADY! Oh and I did see your comment about the HA dude/dudeess. Thought at first it had hit all the strips but I was wrong. Guess it isn’t doing anything wrong. In fact, with the avatar it has, it’s actually kind of funny.

We had the most gorgeous day of the year today. We went to the annual native plant sale and dropped a bundle and ran some errands and went out to lunch. I hate it when you go to an expensive restaurant and discover that you could have done better at home. I spent the afternoon outside enjoying the sun.

life today has ben a little slice of……“heck”.my mother and dog made my life a living “heck”. getting the house ready, and getting away from the house for the open house made mom and Happy crazy. and then they made me crazy. i wont go into details. i need a lobotomy.i have a buyer for the house. i have beaten down by the market and the buyer and my desperation to the point that we are only going to clear around $75k.. i got pre approval for a $60k. loan on a $110k. home, with a 20 year loan, from a federal credit union. payments will be under $400.00 a month. affordable.for $99,900.00 i can get a 2 bed 2 bath manufactured (not mobile) repo if i can work fast enough.i think that this is going to be of an intense several months of “heck” on earth. i am not a religious person but mom is. if you are please pray for mom. the better she does, the better i will do.and it may all blow up in my face with no warning.

puppybreath, I always wanted a Scottie, but never had one. I would have named him Jacque, from “Lady and the Tramp”, if you remember the WONDERFUL Walt Disney movie. I do have a ceramic Jacque sitting on my bed headboard which I bought MANY years ago at Disney World.

To click on someone’s profile just click on their AVATAR. It will give you their previous posts. Now it is only like 10 comments, back before they changed, it was about the past 20 or 25.

puppybreath I also enjoy Gil’s Todays Dogg. He loves dogs and his strips reflect that. He is a big advocate of an Animal Rescue Group, somewhere in the South, but I right now, can’t remember where.

Busy day, Fellow Baby. I wanted to pick up something I needed at the office that I forgot yesterday. I wanted to do that before the highway traffic picked up in spite of it being a foggy morning – especially in Pasadena.

Then I did my errands, cleaaned out and moved things around in the garage to make room for the new car and finally took some picks of it. Then referred to the manual for some need to know items on the new car. It’s funny how they tell you more about the entertainment features than anything else when you’re driving it out of the lot.

Then finally I took a little nap before getting ready for supper. I had lamb kebobs while watching some Beverly Hillbillies.

noicant, I know cleo is giving you some good advice. And I kind of know what you are going through, I had no siblings so I can’t relate to that, except for my hubby I did most of it on my own. For what it is worth, prayers are going your way, not just from me, but from all of us here, I am sure! HANG IN THERE! I KNOW IT IS DIFFICULT! BUT I TOLD YOU BEFORE YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW! I discovered that for myself because I always thought I was weak.

noicant I just decided to do a quick peek at the comments before I turn in. It’s 11:45 PM. And I didn’t see my reply to your post about what you are going through with your mom and selling the house. I don’t know why it didn’t show up in the comments but I was having problems with the avatars earlier today and maybe that has something to do with it. I don’t know.

But the really important thing is YOU. Oh how my heart goes out to you! I know what you are going through with your mother. It is so difficult. When I was the sole caretaker of my mother complete with her incontinence and Alzheimers and all that goes with it, there were times I just didn’t think I could cope with it another day. There was no help, no considered advice nothing from anyone in the family. Everyone was too busy with their own lives and lived too far away.

I kind of think you are in the same boat. Just try to stay strong and remember that “this too will pass” and when it does, you will be so much stronger for having endured it all and pushed past the pain and worry and fear and exhaustion. You will certainly become well aquainted with all of them if you aren’t already!

But you have a buyer! I told you to keep the faith and hope alive in yourself because your buyer was on the way. And now you have a sales contract in hand. Good for you! That’s a major hurdle out of the way.

Take everything one step at a time. Do not let yourself become overwhelmed by trying to focus on too many things at one time. Sort out the most important things and concentrate on them Then move on to the secondary things and so forth. I say this out of experience. That’s the only way I got through the problems that came upon me while I was taking care of my mom and our three big dogs and trying to work from home as a Realtor. It was insane!

But you will get through this and because you are who you are, you will make the right decisions. You have the inward strength to handle this situation and remember each problem solved brings you closer to your goal, relocating to a better place where you will be in the arms of your family and able to recieve the help and encouragement you need and deserve.

You know you are loved and admired by our whole Citizen Dog family. Loving thoughts and prayers are streaming their way towards you from all of us and our good wishes and concern for you are with you every moment of the day.

You can do this. You can take care of everything that presents itself as a problem or a necessity that needs to be solved. You are strong, you are able and you have the will to do it. You will get past this difficult time and when you do, you can look back at what you did with satisfaction, knowing you were equal to the job and conquered the problems.

Of course we already knew that would be the case and you would do what you have to do with grace and dignity. Believe that you are bigger than the problems you face, because you are, you know!

Hang in there noicant because you are special to a whole lot of us and we know it will all turn out to be a blessing for you.
