Cuddles the rappelling kitty.Only one incident with Penny last night. I heard what sounded like her chewing on wood. I came downstairs and because she is so quiet and so much lighter on her feet than our Lab Cleo was, I looked all around downstairs without seeing her. Finally I found her standing under our dinimg room table. She had been digging or scratching at the rug and had amassed a pile of wool balls. I don’t know why she did that, but she was quiet fior the rest ot the night and made no attempt to come upstairs. She is so quiet, probably from living in a home with a lot of elderly residents. She seems like a little ghost.
cleo, that’s funny! One of my little bits that we found under the tree last June, takes the blanket throw from the couch and kneads it and kneads, puts it in his mouth and then covers himself up with it!
When we lived back east we had a cat(Casper, pure white) that got stranded in a tree about 10 houses away from us. The “wonderful” neighbors never said anything to us. Thank God a boyfriend of one of the daughters came and told us about her. He helped us get her down. The only thing that helped was it had rained and she licked up the water from the leaves. She recovered and lived to be 16:-)
Good Morning Grog, Dry, Cleo, Lonewolf, StelBel, puppybreath, noicant(happy, happy, joy, joy)and all CDers out there.
I don’t know a whole lot about cats, but they are climbers. If one climbs up, it should be able to get down, as well. Possible exception: kittens (not professionals yet?)
Our cat was up in the tree for almost a week. She could barley stand and the vet said that she would have fallen out of the tree in another day or so. Thats why you don’t see skeletons in trees…they fall down and die:-(
StelBel Little Bit is still Little Bit, Little Bit 2 is now Blackie. Blackie is the one that does the “thing” with the blanket. He also likes to crawl under the covers and sleep. LOL! They are so sweet, comical and very loving. I wish I could still have a dog, and if I am meant to have one God will send one my way, but right now, I have what I can handle. I have a cute pic of them sleeping together which I could post, but it doesn’t show them in their “full glory”, LOL!
Dogs are great! So are cats! They are part of your family and we do what we do for them because we are good people with big hearts who appreciate all forms of life. And if we could, would punish those who do otherwise!
Yes, because my ’puter at work is acting up and very SLOW! I wonder, if I dumped a pot of coffee in it, would it help? Or are you thinking of the Doctor and his almost EVER present cup of coffee? At least we assumed it was coffee! SNERK!
cleo I am sure she is just nervous and not sure where she is or what to expect. Just give her lots of love, which I KNOW YOU will, and she will come around. She is just like us, all we want is love and to feel safe.
I think any one would feel a little out of sorts in new surroundings and I think that’s especially true of us older folk. Just give her a little time to get adjusted, cleo. I’m sure she’ll be fine in no time at all.
Fellow Baby, I loved that movie! Sadly I didn’t know it was on. And yes I do believe you typed something brilliant and accidentally deleted it! ROFLMAO! Glad I’m not the only one who does that!
Do you know James Garner just turned or is about to turn 84 years old? Sigh! One of my favorite actors and what a hunk! And I so loved those commercials he did with Mariette Hartley. Yeah, I’m dating myself, I KNOW!

My cats are indoor cats, and that is just one of the reasons why.

Fellow Baby, would you believe I’m still awake? I actually finished work early enough to take an afternoon nap.

Well, Fellow Baby, it felt good making up for the week’s lack of sleep. Monday & Tuesday were especially bad.
GROG Premium Member over 12 years ago
By the way, did you show up at work today at 6AM?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 12 years ago
Fellow Baby 6 am? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? :-D
Hey, my hubby naps and it does him good, so if you need it, you need it! :-)
GROG Premium Member over 12 years ago
Well I did have a 7AM meeting, and I didn’t think 6:30 was enough prep time especially when our computers are particularly sluggish in the early AM.
GROG Premium Member over 12 years ago
Can you believe our computers are more sluggish in the early AM than we are without caffeine, Fellow Baby?

Fellow Baby, I don’t do coffee, unless it’s Irish. But I do need 2 jolts of Pepsi to get kicked-started or booted-up in the morning.
I can only imagine what Doctor T’s coffee tastes like, but I’m sure it won’t be much better than what we called mud in my former Montreal office.

noicant I hope you sleep well! Been there and done that, never took pills, oh a benadryl on rare occasions, but try to relax and clear your head.

Still no word on puppybreath, huh?
GROG Premium Member over 12 years ago
Just another grim reminder that we’re all getting older, Fellow Baby
cleo, if I could have remembered, then maybe it wasn’t quite as brilliant as I thought.
And with that, I think I will turn in. Even with the nap, it’s been a looooong day.
