The day is starting off sunny…hurray!!! I have got plenty of yard work to do. After the weed whack and mowing of my yard yesterday evening now I have to whack our surrounding banks.

Strawberries? Surely “tea and oranges that come all the way from China.”

I was out walking MY citizen dog and I noticed that the mosquitos were out early this year, and bigger too’

nighthawks normally they don’t find mosquitos carrying West Nile Virus until mid-summer. They have tested one for positive this week in my area! And the ticks are supposed to be horrendous also.

AND……did you know that ticks play possum? I took a tick of Max today (it hadn’t attached, was just on top of his fur) and it didn’t move. I watched it for about 5 min, poked it with a pencil, nothin’…no movement. Then…………., the legs started to move. And I smooshed it flat! Yuck!

We had no internet all afternoon. We upgraded our DSL and Verizon sent us a new modem. We connected the new modem and lost the internet. It took 2 1/2 hrs. with tech. in India to get my husbands PC on-line, but my laptop is still unconnected. (In doing all the steps, we had to disconnect the new wi-fi ruoter because it had the same address as the new modem and they were fighting against each other. Once the modem received a new address from Verizon, we reconnected the router, but the network has a new name and my laptop doesn’t know it…and we can’t figure out how to inform it! ) So, round 2 is tomorrow. If I don’t show up, not to worry. We’re probably going to be fumbling around again, hoping we accidently bump into the internet, and that the internet recognizes us and invites us in. Wish us luck!!

Wow! I won’t even attempt to reply to all this! I will say to StelBel though, I JUST LOVE THE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FROM INDIA, PAKISTAN, AND GAWD KNOWS WHERE ELSE!

StelBel, Heck, I subscribed to a local newspaper in a nearby county, good paper, good deal. Had some problems, called the number for subscriptions, TWICE. Got tired of that, also noticed the person I was talking to had an accent, but thought nothing of it until I got no satisfaction. Finally wised up and called the actual HEAD OFFICE. The Receptionist told me to NEVER call that number, just call the Head Office. She informed me that the SUBSCRIPTION END OF THE NEWSPAPER HAD BEEN OUTSOURCED TO AN ANSWERING SERVICE, GET THISIN PAKISTAN!!!!!!!!!!

We’re talking Central Pa here! Good GAWD!

The only thing negative about spring and summer is all the yard work.
