Hmmm, bag ‘em as soon as you get a pile together, Mel? Or do what so many other people seem to do and get yourself a leaf blower and blow them into the neighbor’s yard. Hardly neighborly, but as long as the leaves don’t blow back on your yard.
Good morning, cleo, sugar, Fellow Baby & the rest of the CD gang.
ok , stel ol’ bel……I have held it in long enough, you taught me how to post pictures and make a something ‘clickable’, nowtell me where the heck you get your dazzling array of photos that always seem appropriate to the discussion.I mean, have a heart! tell me!
I am quite certain, with all the beauty in the rain forest, I most likely, actually, without a doubt, I think — no, no, I ’m really pretty sure, that I….. would not have chosen the particular photo that you chose.
But………I could be wrong. I suppose, IF it was appropriate to the discussion……………nah, really? No.
Good morning CD kids. You all are having too much fun today..StelBel thank you for the nice send off last night. I saw it but was too tired to comment. And thank you for all your pretty pictures..Nighthawks….um thanks for that rather disturbing image. We’ve tried to keep uncle Fred away from the cutlery….but, he just takes those practical joke a little too far. ;-)
Hi!, mightaswellbeI usually take the bag off the mower and just mulch them in.………………………………………………………………………….That’s the best way. It’s supposed to be good for the grass.
“……..I might be asking the wrong person for a source of pictures!”…………………………………………………………or, maybe if it’s a cry for help, as you say, you might want a different source of pictures?? Just sayin’ ……….
ok, nobody liked the heart extraction picture. In keeping with that , I shall post something nice. something that everybody loves. clowns. Everybody loves the circus and the clowns.here’s a happy happy circus clown about to give you a balloon
I’d like to say that I am visiting you from work, but alas, unlike Dry, my employer does not allow me to visit comic sites at work. Perhaps the fact it is a hospital has something to do with it. Very serious folk there.
I am home sick with a cold. (Achoo!) Oh dear, I hope I don’t give your computers a virus. ;-)
“I made my smiley 300 perhaps it was too big…ya think?”……………………………………………………………………………..Yep. that’s what made it blurry. Usually, it’s a safe bet at 200, or you can delete it and do trial and error til it’s to your liking (you can go in increments, like 100, 110, 180,200,220,245, etc up to 350. I like to keep it multiples of 5. I don’t even know if you can do 133, 172, etc. Probably, but why bother?). Or, you can just let it go. Depends on how much you want to fuss or if you have the time.
Well, it’s been about 3 hrs. since the clown appeared, and I’m still somewhat at a loss for a comment, except I’ll see your clown and raise you an alien.
i’m back…i’m tired… i’m sore… i’m happy… more later when i have time.i burned my soup tonight so i am taking mom out to dinner. the fact that she will go out to dinner is amazing. : )did i mention that i’m a happy boy?: )
“True, but my better half tells me it’s mulched enough. The yard is 75 yrs old and is several inches above the sidewalk. More mulch = a more sunken sidewalk.”……………………………………………………………………..We had a 200 yr. old maple that had to be cut down due to old age and rotting in the front yard. We had the stump ground down. That was about 10 yrs. ago. The lawn is still sunken where the tree was. We have filled it in with dirt, mulch, stones, bricks, wood — you name it! And, it still sinks. And the grass doesn’t grow well at all. Right smack dab in the middle of the front lawn!
to start with, on the day we left,(wednesday?) we got out of town late. it took FAR longer to finish loading than was expected. then we just had to stop at the coffee shop one more time. (not my idea.) then as we were leaving town i blew a hose clamp on the new heater core that was installed on the truck. it took 3 gallons of 50/50 to bring the fluid level back up. and the only hose clamps i could buy at the truck stop were cheep crap. it broke before i could get it properly tight. fortunately, a mechanic that stopped to fill up saw what was happening and gave me a spare one he had in his utility box. we got out of arizona at 2:00pm. we stopped south of Sacramento (I5) at 2:00am. i decided not to go through Nevada when my brothers widow said that she wasn’t going to be up late enough to give me the art piece that was my brothers that i bought from her. (to keep her from hocking it.) and that she probably wouldn’t be up and around in time to git it to me before i left Fernley.i was up at 6:00am and started to get ready to go. get cleaned up, get mom up, get my brother in law up, get mom moving, get (continental) breakfast at the motel and go… to a coffee shop… so Mark could buy him and mom a special coffee…we got on the road at 10:00am.we got to my sisters house at 2:00am the next morning.friday morning Mark got a bunch of his parishioners to help unload. it only took 3 hours to unload what it took Mark and me a day and a half to load. good? yes…but it took me Saturday and Sunday to get all of the boxes off of the floor in the garage and onto shelves, (concrete, paper, and coastal humidity don’t mix.) and the living room, kitchen, and moms bedroom arranged so that we (mom) could live in the space.god, i hurt… im sucking aspirin down like candy.the title company that the sellers picked wont notarize any paperwork that mom and i need to be a part of becouse of moms dementia, even thow my power of attorney predates her dementia. so we are going to have to get another title company that will recognise it to do our part of the escrow.more money out of my pocket…i burned my soup tonight. (!!!) mom agreed to go out to dinner. (!!!) we went to a Mexican restaurant. (!!!)this afternoon we got cable/internet hooked up.i don’t know what hurts more, my muscles, or my brain.when we were having dinner we saw 3 whales blow and sound. flukes in the air and all. that made it all worth it.
Good night kids. So….umm the scary clowns will all disappear when I turn on the light……right? .Thanks for the happy, sleepy time pictures Dry and StelBel...Noicant, it’s good to hear you and your mom made it safely to your new home. Sleep well.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m really not ready to think about fall. At the very least, I wish this strip was more in sync with the seasons…

I too never rake leaves. I have learned to plant deciduous trees away from the lawn.
Good morning to all Citizens of Dog breezing on through.
