From last night, Fellow Baby, yes I am a big Seger fan among other artists I’ve even got an album of his from the Seger System. I’m even quite a big fan of Heart. I’m surprised how many albums I have of that group dating back to 1975.
I think you still have a good sense of humor. I often see it in your comments. And , you’re commenting more and more, which is good. Maybe…you’re actually doing better than you think? Sometimes, gradual progress is subtle, but progress nonetheless!
That’s the kind of Olympics I can get into! The real ones have made me mad. NBC has pre-empted for two weeks, the ONLY tv show I watch faithfully and have in one way, shape or form since the day it came on the air, 40 plus years ago.
Yes “Days of Our Lives” a soap opera. Call me shallow, ask me if I care.

Wow! It looks like a whole new deck! What a difference!++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++So, how did you post the flower that was different?++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++(Be back soon — about a half hour. Gotta walk Max.)
I’m looking forward to the movies I’m watching tomorrow and Wednesday night. Tomorrow is Crime School, with James Cagney and then The Cruel Sea, a very interestingBritish war movie. I won’t be dividing my attention when these movies are on.
What’s all this talk about summer going by? I don’t want to think about it! It is sunny. It is HOT. It is summer!! D@mn it! (Opps, spelled that out too much I think).
I was mistaken, Shika.Crime School stars Bogie and the Dead End Kids and was released in 1938. Bogie plays a good guy in this one, trying to keep the Dead End Kids out of trouble.
The Cruel Sea was released in 1953, and is in my opinion one of the better British war films. I do recommend seeing it if you get the chance.
2 moons that will collide. Of course on one of the moons is a female dictator who is willing to destroy the other moon to preserve her moon and her people. The problem is, the other moon is also inhabited. The hero, from Earth is charged with thwarting her plans.
Turner Classic Movies, Shika. You probably don’t get that in Canada. I’ve bought many a movie after seeing it on TCM.
Fellow Baby go check it out. The color today wasn’t as good as I remember that one, but Piers is hoping if there is enough interest, he will start the strip up again. He commented there.
Yes it is, Shika. I do have a few in my collection. Some are better than others. One that I will be seeing some time in August is called The Day The Earth Stood Still and is a vert good sci-fi story with good effects for the time. The female lead is Patricia Neal.
LOL! cleo, I know that I am slow, but I can’t believe that I just got the joke about the Cuban Fluffy. You meant “Cuban, Fluffy”. OMG, I had to go back and read your comments to get it. :-D
Another busy day in the yard today. I pulled all of the moss off of the rock stairway up to my cigar deck. I pulled and dug up wild roses to make a rock walkway up to our propane tank for our delivery man and I mowed the lawn. It seems tougher and tougher to do what is really important…visiting my toon queue.
StelBel & Dry the vacation was wonderful, thanks for asking. We went to Lake Wappapello with my sister-in-law and her family. We spent lazy days at the lake with the kids. Drove Grampa’s boat around and visited our favorite tree that grows on a sand bar in the middle of the lake. We got home Fri. with the long weekend to look forward to. I went to pick up Bart from my MIL and got a call from my sister. My mother was in the ER being prepped for major surgery. She had a hiatal hernia that twisted her stomach. It then perforated the abdominal wall into the esophagus and was half way into her chest cavity when the surgeon got in there. She just got out of ICU today. She is doing much better now, but it was a long and worrisome weekend. I’ll check back when I can tomorrow. Good night kids.

Fellow Baby, I added my 2 cents at OB.
GROG Premium Member over 12 years ago
You’re in denial, Fellow Baby. There aren’t enough positive waves in the world that will keep winter from coming when it’s good & ready.
That’s probably why I bought a certain Adam @ Home strip. After the leaves have all fallen Adam asks Laura how she feels about moving further south.

With my growing collection, I have to Shika. I may not see these shows for another few years, unless I see them on TCM.
