This nationwide drought is horrible! I was stunned to see the Connecticut River yesterday (about 3-4 miles away from our house)…I had never in my lifetime seen it that low! Hope your rain comes and that it replenishes what’s been lost!

Time to pour and warm a snifter of brandy, get comfortable in your favorite chair and grab a good book. Put a timer on for Spring and have your master light a fire in the fireplace and then just live up to your name and cuddle.

cleo, we’ll still have our steamy South Texas version of summer for at least a month.

Our toilets weren’t working this morning, do to some busted plumbing. I held it until lunch and found that the gate out into the plant parking lot had been flooded by the morning rain. I’m glad I had boots, otherwise my feet would have been soaked.

Of course that is my opinion.

Pretty winter scene sugie, pretty country winter lane happy. Thanks for the pictures. That’s all I need for winter. I will look at the pictures you all can keep the snow and cold. :-D

Fellow Baby, To which I wholeheartedly agree! Except for the really big snow storms if all my loved ones are home safe and the snow melts the next day!

Essex60 “disappeared” on 5/4/12, and re-surfaced, briefly, this past Tuesday. I wonder if puppybreath will also re-appear soon…….?

I’ve come to say hello to my friends before going to bed. I have finished my retreat and I had a wonderful time, but I missed you all.

Daaaah strip! Please, don’t scare me with kamikaze snowflakes here! I’ve enjoyed a week of blissful, blessed summer sun, blue skies and lovely breezes.

NO SNOW! Even Croatian snow, which is pretty as a picture. Like Dry, I prefer my snow to be as pretty as a picture, although, in a big city, it is mostly grey and slushy. Ugh.

Reading puppybreath’s last post made me sad. So did Memories. I read this week’s comments and now I’m sad. But It’s also good to see Nighthawk’s latest installment of “Retired”, and all the fun posts here too.
