The fall colors never seem to last long enough. Before you know it, the trees are bare and there’s a hint of winter in the air.

We don’t have year-round temperatures of 95 – unfortunately.

It ususally doesn’t start feeling like winter here until January – except for that winter where it dumpted about 6 inches on the north side just before Christmas. I got a couple inches that time.

I remember you mentioning that, I believe.

Stel as Val would say, “Gotta love August”! September is nice but rather melancholy, you know?

Fellow Baby, oddly enough, we usually get snow on the years that a hurricane has passed through. They also tend to be very cold winters by south Texas standards. It can normally get below freezing in Dallas for a few days at a time, but it’s not normal here.

I’ve been recording a lot of music, Shika. I recorded 2 Fleetwood Mac tapes yesterday and a real classic rock tape today. It included a live Heart version of Stairway To Heaven. it was awesome! I want to record at least one more next weekend before the football season.

Led Zepelin was the original artist, but Heart was strongly influenced by Zeppelin. It was a bonus track on my recently acquired Little Queen albeit, which among others, includes Barracuda.

You just answered my question. An iPad is easier to type on than an iPod touch Grog. You should see my typing then.

Shika, I doubt you’ve heard Heart’s version of Stairway To Heaven, unless you’ve actually been to a Heart concert. When I bought the CD, that was the first time I’ve heard it. Today was the second.

Hey there kids. Grog the iPad has spoiled me with its wonderful touch screen. I toured a few days ago on the home PC and was having a rough time with the keyboard..Hi Shika. Did you enjoy your ‘point’ and walk the other day?:-)

the work in the bathroom is coming along. i have the pedestal sink removed, and i will have the plumber come in (after i pay the electrician for the last job i had done) and move the drain, and replace black and gray plastic with chrome.

Jkiss, I’m more comfortable with an actual keyboard. At least my computer won’t make totally wrong suggestions for spelling errors that at least would be in the ball park.

Shika, I wish I could say I had. Those sisters can rock with the best of them. They are among my all-time favorites. One of these day’s I’m at least going to get a DVD of their live performances.

Shika, Word used to do the same many years back. You should see what suggestion it came up with for one of our manager’s names. Her name is French and the suggestion for “Desmeulles” I just can’t repeat here. Laughing I went to my bosses office and asked him to type her name in Word.

It’s getting late. I think I should call it a night.

Well, Shika, looking at YouTube’s search results, I see that Heart covered lots of Zeppelin live over the years, but I don’t see it. Well, I do have Stairway To Heaven live on CD. They do have a DVD of Heart doing their Dreamboat Annie album. Apparently, from what I’ve read, they also do some Led Zeppelin covers. Since I intend to buy that DVD anyway (eventually), perhaps that cut will be on the DVD. At least I can hope it is.

I was catching up on toons and keeping track of Issac. A friend of mine is the line of it. As happy said, you guys are too fast for me, so I will say goodnight. Too many comments to read this late at night. Good night everyone!

Well if you’re a fan of Heart, you’ve got to buy the Little Queen CD (which includes Barracuda among others) and make sure that Stairway To Heaven is one of the extra tracks.

Shika sorry to hear you got rained out. Really sad thing about the bird. Yellow Warblers are quite beautiful. Seems like such a waste when birds go out like that.

I have it on vinyl and CD, but Little Queen is another favorite from my teens – just not quite as good. But the addition of Stairway To Heaven on the CD version puts it over the top.

on CD i have them on “The Essential” series of best of albums. stairway might be on it. i haven’t listened to my CD much since i started taking care of mom.night dude: )
