It’s a good thing Cuddles loves winter so much!

Poor Cuddles is not having a good day.

Some day’s it just doesn’t pay to get out of bed. Ever consider hibernation, Cuddles?

Yesterday’s list was just my short list of essentials, Fellow Baby. And yes, Phil Collins would be on it. I didn’t even mention the music from the 50’s & 60’s that’s on my wishlist. It’s going to be an expensive little undertaking, but worth it.

I thought Cuddles would be on his way to Miami with the rest of the feline population……?

What happened, Cuddles? Did you miss the flight?

Ernie sent my that Phil Collins YouTube video yesterday morning, and it blew me away, too!!! Best Ever! Hands Down! I “sat” on it all day, ‘cuz I thought it would make a great evening sign-off, but I couldn’t wait to post it. I knew that someone would love it! Glad you did!

I ,too, have a few vinyl records left from the olden days and they do indeed pop and crackle .When I play my modern CD’s that are crystal clear , I STILL hear the pop and crackle. Unfortunately, it’s from my old creaking, protesting bones.

Yeah well I find myself in a position where I have to start replacing some of those older tapes I recorded as well, StelBel. Even tapes don’t last forever if they’re played often enough. I’m not inclined to rerecord those tapes with a background noise sounding like a bowl of Rice Krispies.

who remembers listening to the radio on a snowy snowy weekday morning praying that YOUR school was on the list being read off as closed for the day?and the unbridled elation you felt when it was?…..so what did you do next?go out and play in the snow, of course!

i haven’t listened to my vinyl in over a decade.last night i decided that i am going to listen to it all, one at a time to see what i have that may be worth salvaging.i understand that there are programs out there that will take the pop, snap, & hiss out of old recordings.it might be worth wile to look for one.

happyathome, I know of cleaning fluid and I do use them. But they still don’t sound like brand new after using. It can make them sound better than what they were for a time. And if the album skips, it is very difficult to remove that skip if not impossible.

I don’t even think I want to make a habit of listening to my CD’s either. I’d rather record them on to mixed tapes.

Good Afternoon CDers. I still have my vinyls, but my player died. I don’t have the time or money to fix it, so I gave the player to someone who may refurbish it one day. Meanwhile, I’ve stored my 45’s and 33.3’s and 78’s until I decide what to do with them.

StelBel, we had a snowblower, which I was not allowed to use. It was a small electric one though, and not terribly effective in large storms like those large gas driven blowers. Still, I dislike cold almost as much as the snow. But I did prefer living in Edmonton to Montreal. Yeah, it was colder, but it didn’t snow nearly as much and it wasn’t the heavy snow that’s typical of the humid climates either.

OMG STEL! TALK ABOUT A BLAST FROM THE PAST! I HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT “THE HAPPENINGS” AND “SEE IN YOU SEPTEMBER”!

YOU DO REALIZE STEL, THAT WE ARE OLD, OLD, OLD! LOL!

Just to set the record straight for new-comers: I have a habit of staying up too late here. Grog usually is sensible enough to get to bed early. So If I follow his cue, I MIGHT just get a decent night’s sleep!
