@ StelBel Thank you for the Bee Gees. I used to have that on vinyl. That song is great. Did I tell you that I saw them in person and have professional quality photos of them from the concert. My friend knew them and was able to get close ups.

What happened happy?

i had my respite day today.i did not get on this morning because i was trying to have mom ready by the time i my respite girl got here.i got into town and was shopping for some things for the house. i was listening to my classic radio station, and i lost it. nothing extra sad or special on the station. just a string quartet.but, something hit me sideways, and i lost it.

im a mess, still.

Music unlocks one’s emotions. I saw my dad crying in the hospital. He had a walkman and was listening to Debussy. He had cancer.

You will feel overwhelmed sometimes. I think that you are overwhelmed. I hope that you can get even more help. You are grieving too, for what your mom used to be.

Man, it is hard to lose both parents. It happens to us all, but no matter what the age, it is hard.

sometimes.usually when she is unhappy with something i am doing.trying to get her to eat, when she doesn’t want to.getting her up in the morning.giving her a bath.

happy I am sorry for what you are going through. I wish I could help you. I don’t know what to say to you to help you, but being an only child, I can say that the challenges and worries, and all that needed done were sometimes more than I thought I could handle, but I handled them because I owed them. My mom and dad were wonderful people, and I did what I had to do. Cried myself to sleep many nights over those years, spent many nights in the ER with my mom because she had congestive heart failure. All I can say is YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW! BELIEVE ME! I’m a wuss but when my loved ones are involved I become A TIGER! YOU CAN TOO! Just pray for strength and guidance and do the best you can! It’s hard, I know! Believe me I KNOW!

when i go pat mom i always touch her, and often i tell her “i love you, mom”.every once in a while she says “i love you” back.i dont know that she is talking to me, but i like to think so.

im going to start puting mom to bed now.incase i dont make it back, i am saying good night now.good night people and pets.

happy I just read the rest of the comments while I was posting mine. Trust me, your mother can not control what is happening with her now, but somewhere in her mind, she still knows you! Before my mom passed, she was starting to slip, and she would get so mad at me because I would try to get her to take her pills. She was defiant, and still had enough in her to know what she wanted to do. She was also a retired Resgistered Nurse, back in her youth a LT. in the Army Nurse Corps in WW2. She was one of the best RN’s at our local hospital according to patients, doctors and other nurses. And I know she was PISSED AS HELL about what was happening to her! Because she had seen it too many times, and didn’t want it happening to her. I suspect that has a lot to do with your mom’s defiance. She knows what is happening with her, and she can’t control it. As much as it hurts/hurt us as their children, it hurts them even more.They on some level, are aware and they are scared.

Geez I hope I made some sense here for you happy! I Hope I did!
