Good morning, CDers!

We saw the Mayflower II yesterday, along with Plimoth Plantation. It’s hard to believe anyone would voluntarily board that ship to undertake such an arduous journey. It is small, dark and confining beneath decks. By our standards, large enough for maybe 6-8 people, yet over a hundred were crowded in there. I could never be any type of pioneer with all the hardships that had to be endured. I don’t even like to go camping!

Wow, that must have been something. I knew the Mayflower was small, but not that small. How did they ever endure that? My oh my.

It probably goes to show just how inflated our standards expectations have become since the days of stone knives & bear skins.

Journalist dogs. I am sure that they would hound everyone for a good story.

shika BOO, Dry…..thanks. thanks loads for your interest.been dealing with some health issues.you are right, though…….I have been lax. the magazine I’m doing ‘retired and loving it’ for is only a bi-monthly and since they only print two per issue, I’m WAY ahead…but if I’m going to Sherpa, it’s best to get moving and get comic-ing. my painting has been shelved but I am getting revved again for that. It has been months since my last painting and I am chomping at that bit. ……to me, a day that I have spent a few hours drawing or painting SOMEthing, even if it is just for the pure joy of doing it, is a day that is not wasted

its going to be a nice day today.after taking care of mom this morning, im going to do as much yard work as i can.

Very quiet night tonight. It’s just as well. It’s time to turn in.

its an aspirin night.i got all the bushes that were against the house, trimmed away from the house, and up off of the ground.i also tore down the last two rotten raised flower beds, and transplanted the Iris (i hope) and some other things that might be Snap Dragons or Stock.i cut some low crossing limbs from my noise barrier between the highway, mostly with an old Swedish saw and pruning saw because i could find no oil for the bar on my electric pruning saw.and thats why its an aspirin night.my F150 and little utility trailer is full, but im all cleaned up for the rainy season to set in. if i get no more yard work done till spring, my yard wont suffer for it.nor will my buildings. i cant cut anything else anyway. no place to put the cuttings.
