I have been to the Doctor, Shika. I was told that I’ve got arthritis in my neck area and given some meds for it. At the moment, I’m feeling a little better.

You made it, StelBel. I was beginning to think you were already affected by the storm.

We spent today trying to anchor down everything that we could, especially the HUGE pool cover! (the last time that let loose, it ended up covering the whole back of the house. Thank goodness the house stopped it…had it reached the street, it could have been disastrous. The pool’s in a bad spot, wind-wise. The wind comes up from the river and if there’s the tiniest little gap in the cover, it lifts it up. We use tent stakes and cinderblocks and bricks and anything else we can think of to anchor it.)

Since last Halloween, when our area was hit pretty hard with a surprise snowstorm and we lost power for several days, I’ve been wanting to get a generator.

Guess who still doesn’t have a generator…..

Stel, I said to my hubby yesterday, “Do you think maybe we should get a generator, just in case”? He said, “too late now for this go around. Besides I think you need a special outlet installed by an electrician. And besides, any generators that were out there, are sold out by now.” So I feel your pain! :-D

If we lose our power for more than a half a day……do you THINK someone will hear about it??? lol I’ve been talking about it for a year….but one of us thinks that situation will never happen again…that we’re in a nice, protected valley….(sigh)

Stel I hear you! Believe me! Mine says, 50 mph wind gusts in PA? They are just hyping this! Why haven’t they shown any damage done in Fla. etc, etc? Talk about a cynic! LOL! I kept watching the weather channel this am and he wanted to watch the Sunday talk shows so he flips the channel while I am still watching the Weather Channel. Well, he flipped it back to the weather channel!

I tried to copy and paste all of your instructions from two nights ago over to the Formatting Page, but the URLs became photos and I realized that you can show exactly what it’s supposed to look like (notebook?), but I’m not familiar with using that, so can’t do it. (Wow! Long sentence!)

Grog, I am glad you are feeling better now. Arthritis of the neck or any place isn’t great.

Generators need an empty circuit on your electrical panel. That is why we no longer have one.

Hopefully, I’ll feel better still tomorrow, Shika It’s really hard to get comfortable in bed with neck pain.

I just took a couple of Advil. Hopefully, it’ll help by the time I’m ready for bed. My prescription meds will certainly help make me sleepy enough.

I find that Advil is the best for joint pain. For me anyways.

I’m not surprised Grog. I like a good pork chop on the bone. I sometimes get them off the bone for economy’s sake, but they have no flavour. And a good pork roast…. mmm. I like most roast meat though.

I was outside yesterday and today, and yesterday the birds were still singing, the crickets were chirping, the sky was cloudy and overcast. It seemed normal but yet it didn’t seem normal. I know you will think I am crazy but I have been following the weather patterns for a long time. Today, the air was quiet, still, no sounds except for neighborhood dogs barking, people outside, cars and trucks going up and down the road. I could feel it in the air, odd. So do I happy! I love all of his and when he was with Genesis songs! I have a CD of most of it! I can still remember on my favorite soap of all times which I have kept up on when I was a kid, because my mom watched it all the time, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, there was an episode where 2 of the characters Beau and Patch were at the docks and this big thing was going down, and the song they played was that one. In the Air Tonight ! I think actually that was the first time I heard it, and to this day, when I hear that song, I can still remember that scene, and that was from back in the 80’s! Gawd I love that show! Been watching that since day 1, and the way the soaps are “falling by the wayside”, I think I will be lost if it gets cancelled. 45 years of watching or being involved in that, geez!

yes, yes it has.thats why i watch nature and science type programs.i will admit to liking Dirty Jobs and Myth Busters, if you want to call those reality shows.

happy heck yes! I grew up on Sat. morning cartoons, 8 am, milk and cereal, parked in front of the tv for Rocky and Bullwinkle, Magilla Gorilla, etc, etc.

I like both those shows Myth Busters and Dirty Jobs, watch them once in a while with my youngest when there’s nothing else on, but they are interesting, did not realize that was MTV. WOW WHAT A CHANGE OF FORMAT! ROFLMAO!
