stel ol’ bel, per your question yestiddy…..yes, those eyes bulging out of Cleo’s head were NOT normal….those were the horrified eyes of seeing potential doom……or….maybe he is seeing the Hindenburg inadvertently performing yet another spectacular landing in Lakehurst NJ……
and JP Steverino, yes, good catch. that was an old joke I stole and converted to a cartoon. I was just hoping that nobody around here had ever heard of it…..I had just read it in written form last week and thought it would be an amusing episode in the adventures o Claude,Clara and Cleo..anyhoo, it was Pablo Picasso who said:Good artists copy, great artists steal.
hey, Happy! you are a celebrity! in your submission of the video about Paraguayan musical instruments converted from trash, Teresa Burrett , one of my heroes, acknowledged and thanked you.congrats.incidentally, are there any places for rent or sale around your neck of the woods? LOVE where you live!
Someday, someday, I will get to Vancouver, Victoria Island, Portland, Seattle, someday … I would love to see them all! I would love to take a train trip from Ontario to the West Coast of Canada. Someday, someday…… sigh!
Best concert I ever saw was back in the ’70’s, I think I mentioned this around gocomics before, was in Greenville, North Carolina, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles. The Eagles opened for Fleetwood Mac, AND THAT CONCERT WAS FABULOUS!
Fellow Baby I almost find it hard to believe that the Eagles opened for Fleetwood Mac. I would have thought that the Eagles had built up much more than Fleetwood Mac. But then I don’t have anything from the pre-Stevie Nicks days, which began in 75. The Eagles were recording hits since 72
Either way, that’s a lot of great live music under one roof.
Fellow Baby, they did. The Eagles were up first, and then Fleetwood Mac. We were in the second tier, but we had GREAT seats right in front of the stage.
cleo If I made it that far, you and someone else we know would be on first and foremost to do list! And you 2 could take me to that place on the beach! ;-D

I lived just a few blocks from the PNE and saw may great concerts at the Coliseum and the Gardens. I saw Led Zeppelin for $3.50.

Those were the days, cleo. Even cheaper than seeing Wallace and Davis at $6.60 or $8.80.

I have been to some fabulous concerts. Bruce Soringsteen tops the list just because he goes on and on with one fabulous song after another for hours.
