Ya know, I have never been able to figure out what this strip is about, except episodes from the lives of the totally delusional.

    Well, hi, everybody!

I see LilyBlack is the only one here, so far…. well… except me, I mean…..

and apparently, she’s been waiting a long time.

We’re here, of course, to post our comments on

the July 25th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Which you, too, can read on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    Lily… um…. I was wondering…..

Did you mean there’s something wrong with that?

I kinda think “Episodes from the lives of the totally delusional” is not only the basis of most comic strips…. but also a good title for my autobiography.

    &nbsp

You really ought to give “Cleo and Company” a try….

In today’s strip, for instance, our heroine, Cleo…..

a chubby (as they all are), determined, rather long-legged (as she usually isn’t ) basset hound,

dives off a stepladder, with uncharacteristically lovely form, in pursuit of Olympic gold.

But she misses the inflatable wading pool and loses points.

    Nothing delusional there, right?

In other strips, she drives, watches TV, steals…. er… I mean redirects… a kibble truck, and various vendor carts…. and handles RPGs.

That’s in addition to being a famous Howlywood Movie star!

It’s one strip you can enjoy for its stark realism.

Llly, I think you have it figured out, and that is why ten years later, Jerry still has fans for these strips.

But of course Cleo and Company is much more realistic. It is the strip that keeps us grounded, after visiting Ballard Street!

Cleo, that was a great dive. The pool was moved by Tonya’s boyfriend, of course.

And Scooter, it is good to see another side of You!

What do you mean she’ll lose points? There was not even a single hint of a splash

Meanwhile…. it’s too bad today’s Ballard St is in black and white.

Cos those are some pretty stupendous socks on Scooter’s back paws…..

and even the 4-color printing process would barely do them justice!

And I know he loves to sit in a chair, propped up on pillows or not.

It’s how he prefers to read….

Cleo shows remarkable form and flexibility on her dive. But that appears to be merely practice, in someone’s back yard. So I wouldn’t worry too much about a points deduction. She may have suffered a bit of nose deduction, though, on that dismount.

And if you can’t get enjoyment out of them, why wear them?

Ballard Street is NOT totally delusional. It’s just a half a bubble off plumb.

Cleo reminds us that we should always check the pool before diving.

Hope you are okay, Cleo – that looked like it hurt a bit.

I kept thinking those nails were going to pop off her diving board.
