Who is this Tulip, and why is she taking Cleo’s territory?

    Hello, everyone….

I’m here at last, though not for long.

Especially after reading the advice, so-to-speak, of the ever-so-wise Tulip, who obviously knew the value of a good sleep.

I’m only half awake now…. pretty soon the other half will insist on going to bed.

Dennis… did you never come back last Sunday, when Tulip also appeared, and read the rest of the comments?

Both Stel and Nighthawks talked about Tulip….

she was one of Nighthawks’ beloved bassets, till passing on in 2009.

Meaning, too, that this photo tribute must be that old, since it mentions “last year.”

I just went back to last Sunday, to make sure I was giving correct information….

and I saw a couple of comments in the “replies” that I’d apparently missed….

not that they were addressed to me, but they didn’t seem particularly private.

It may be handled by now, or perhaps wasn’t serious anyway…. but just in case:

Montana Lady, you expressed a desire for a print of one strip….

and Nighthawks said he could probably mail you one.

But since he doesn’t post his e-mail, he asked whether you might want to e-mail someone else, who could forward it and/or send him your address… e-mail or physical.

So I just wanted to reiterate that I do post my address….

anyone on Cleo is welcome to write to me at my user name on GC at gmail.com

Just please don’t post my address anywhere else… or in directly readable form.

I’m not much of a correspondent, but I’m good for a friendly message now and then,

and I like having a “back door” network….

it helps when anyone is missing, or has a project like this.

StelBel and I had a lot of email addresses and a lot of people had ours, in the heyday of birthday parties on Ballard Street….and I never had a problem with it…

though I can hear my mother telling me to say “knock wood.”

    Meanwhile…. Colin may be comfortable….

but I think he is causing a rather deep ripple of discomfort in the neighborhood.

I don’t care what anybody does in the privacy of is or her own house or bedroom, as long as it doesn’t harm anybody or involve minors…

and in some cases, as long as I don’t have to know about it or picture it.

In Colin’s case, if I had a choice, I’d certainly choose NOT to picture it….

So I don’t want to see it standing in the yard!

And if he calls Gracie “Mama,” I don’t even want to know.

Nighthawks! What an excellent second episode of the Adventures in Tulipland!! Wow, she sure was a sports fan, er, participant, um, on-looker. I can see where you get your inspiration for Cleo!!

I love all the pictures, but the close up and the spotlight at the end says it all.

Looks like Tulip had quite a wonderful and adventurous year. She’s a beautiful bassett.
