Looks like I got my dates mixed up five days ago, but it is still a beautiful Wizard poster. Somebody pin a medal on that Lion-dog.

The song comes to mind, “If I Only Had A Mane”.

He looks like a sad lion – and a sad basset – a sad basion, probably because of the cowardly thing. I suppose being cowardly would depress me if I was a lio – er, I mean, basion.

    Ooooh…. I remember this poster…..

    Beautiful work!

If you’re new here, or for any reason you don’t know where to see it….

we’re talking about the August 28th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    See it on Comics Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

I think this is one poster that has no human counterpart, except for a dusty old photograph of their “lion” in costume.

    Am I remembering right, Stel?

    Speaking of Sherpa….

I was late getting back to yesterday’s forum….

so I’ll say it now…. I hope what Nighthawks was told is correct.

    Here’s the thing….

They say it takes a long time to build a great website, and I believe it.

(Especially if your web team is 5th graders with crayons…. but lets say, for the sake of peace and cooperation, that somebody at GoComics knows how to build a website.)

But if they’re so dedicated to the idea of Sherpa… finding the cartoonists of tomorrow…. encouraging new and maybe even experimental work….

    blah blah blah…..

Why are they making everybody wait for “perfection?” (quotes because GC and I don’t see eye to eye on the attributes of a perfect site.)

Why not rush out some kind of site, even on the GC model, so the existing Sherpa cartoonists…. those who’ve hung in there… producing new work…

don’t completely lose their readership and their impetus to continue?

Are they trying to weed out all but the truly dedicated?

That won’t necessarily be the best ones … except in the case of Cleo…. so it’s a stupid way to cull.

If you love Sherpa, GoComics powers, let’s see some concern for the artists and their followings.

Gosh! For a cowardly lion, our hero is standing on top of a cliff!!! That takes buckets of courage!

The Cowardly Lion doesn’t look very cowardly…….looks quite brave, actually. I love these Wizard of Oz posters.
