neisola, Feauh Naught Deauh, You are the normal one. Dogs need to play with owners, and it’s great for your BP.
British Petroleum?
No; Blood Pressure?
Oh…Never mind.
Whenever a story starts with “It was a dark and stormy night” you know something evil is going to happen! And watching that cat coming in and out of focus, you know that is the evil one. Brrrrrrr……

Should I be disturbed that I actually do that? Perhaps the neighbors are!

Just trying to set the stage for tonight’s strip…. since I can’t play “dum da dumm dum” type music….
or do we need that Twilight Zone “dweedle dweedle dweedle” opening?
It’s all for a build-up…. cos actually, nothing really scary happens.
You can look now, Perkycat and Montana Lady….
and anybody else hiding his/her eyes yesterday.
It’s only Claude…er, I mean Klaude…
or as I like to call him…. “Clawed” …
the cat, and neighborhood bully….
the only creature to whom I ever saw Cleo surrender.
But the demon cat is outside in the rain….
Cleo can snugly…. and somewhat smugly… resume her slumber.

A cat that ventures out in the thunder & lightning & rain? This is some serious fiction writing.

I think a little rain must fall on Chuck when Snyder finds out the source of the intermittent rain showers.

Make sure all the doors and windows are locked Cleo. You don’t want any soggy uninvited house guests.

Cleo better not go to sleep or she will find a soggy evil cat next to her getting dry.

Is he gone?

similar to ‘Night of the Hunter’ —if you see the bad guy (or cat) just looking
at you , it’s scary. But if you look away and look back and then you DON’T see him anymore (and you don’t know where he is)
that’s REALLY scary!
