I see his horse broke it’s leg. I hope he does the right thing and shoots it.

Todd’s plywood boxer shorts are one size too large.

Hi, gang… or as Todd would say…. Howdy, pardners….!

We’re here at his and Marjorie’s house to post our comments on StelBel’s beautiful Thanksgiving poster….

it’s the Nov 20th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Which you can read on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

This has always been one of my favorites… great work, Stel!

Nordog Barkwell was, of course, an American classic….

and the inspiration to that copydog human illustrator who so often imitated him ….

How could this scrawny human be a glutton??

He’s nothing like a fat, sleek basset hound!

BTW…. I hope Todd’s got enough of his old self back to be able to join us by the time we get there….

I’d hate for him to miss the chocolate cake and other goodies.

But if not…. Marjorie asks that if we use the bathroom, we tiptoe past the bedroom door… and let him rest for a while in pieces.

    Of course He’s a glutton! He’s a dog, for Pete’s sake.

Hey, last week I saw that same dog in the stocks for sloth. What’s next?

The history books little note that bassets were crucial passengers aboard the Mayflower. Without them, those first settlers might not have survived on this unfamiliar terrain. But I believe there is a society of bassets who can trace their ancestry back to those “primordial” hounds. It’s just that I can’t for the life of me think of what they’re called, any more than I can remember what the analogous human society is called. Can anyone help me out here?

It looks to me like Todd is the one doing all the scathing. The place looks like a tornado hit it.

That evil cat up the street is standing just a few feet away holding the key to the lock, right over the street drain, and just smiling.

I just love looking at a good Pilgrim Basset Life cover. Everything Nordog Barkwell does deserves to be framed.

    Great poster, Stel.

I think a lot of us will be worthy of those stocks on Thursday.
